...to run for congress. I recognize this country is in real trouble politically. It's no secret, there is very little being done for the people in congress, and much more being done to stroke ego's and to build power blocks. All the changes we have seen in the recent past to our "constitution" points directly to the attempt at consolidating power to the congress.
Many will say this is false, but the fact of the matter is that congress knows that it can impeach the executive. All of these "amendments" come with the unspoken guarantee that the CP will be impeached if it steps outside congressional restrictions. Meaning with the lack of a third branch as a check, congress holds full control over most things in government.
You select the "wrong" SoD IMPEACHED
You fund the eUS Military IMPEACHED
And on down the line. I'm not down with that.
So, I'm running for congress...to give the congress back to the people. It has become an orgy of ego's and powertrips that quite frankly have to end. I do not think it is any coincidence that only when the leadership of ALL military personnel decided to WORK TOGETHER that we got anything done.
It's time for change. Time to shake up the establishment.
I will be running from the UIP, Kazeal has informed me that that will be OK.
So when you see my name on election day, I would appreciate your vote.

You all act like Congress is this power-abusing entity. Congress is not that abusive. In fact, they hold bad impeachments as a very serious offense. Maybe the reason that Congress is trying to do more is because THEY HAVE VERY LITTLE TO DO AS IS. People a) refuse to give them stuff to do, b) yell at them when they try to do stuff, and c) yell at them for not doing anything.
Also, Congress has never been about "the people". It never will be. Sorry to burst your bubble, but you are very rarely elected by the people in your state normally. It's MVs for the most part. Therefore, your constituents are where your MVs come from. If they come from a party, then you represent your party. If they come from the military, then you represent the military.

My point is that you can never make it about the people. Until GMs make it so that you can't MV, you will represent your electoral body. When the day comes that you need like x # days of state residency to MV, then states finally have reps.
Look, MV or not, they are still people. And the people as a whole deserve better.
