An Open Letter From a New Player

Day 4,240, 10:18 Published in USA USA by TheePostman

eRepublik,

I joined this game because it sounded very interesting and I liked the concept. I did not realize it was so dead. Now as a new member I feel that there is no attempt to even try to increase the player base. Everywhere I turn there seem to be major disadvantages for new players.

The ability for people to fight in any division ruins any chances I have of winning medals even if I am on nonstop and use energy bars purely because the others are in a whole other league of strength etc. My competition have most likely been playing for nearly a decade while for me it has been a few months. One attack from them is the equivalent of my using all my energy multiple times over.

When I joined this game I thought it sounded fun to join Germany even though I am an American. I had no idea that everybody would actually be speaking German which is my own mistake. I have now been trying to change my citizenship to eUSA but have been denied multiple times. I have sent messages to multiple congress members asking for assistance and was either ignored or pushed along to talk to somebody else with still no success.

I would like to become an active member of the community but everywhere I turn I face obstacles that in my opinion should not be there.

I do not mean to offend those who have been playing for a decade but my stance is it can only help the game if there are more members playing and staying and right now that is not made easy.

Kind Regards,

A Thoroughly Confused Noob

P.S. If anybody knows similar style games that I should try let me know.
