Ambassadors May-June 2011

Day 1,263, 15:32 Published in Austria Austria by Ludoviko la Nepreparita

This is not a usual edition of 'The Britannian'. The purpose of this is to explain more in-depth about the job of an eAustrian ambassador.

I'll try to be as brief as possible.

If you become an ambassador, I have a few minor requirements and rules you need to follow. They aren't anything excessive it's just last term had flaws in the process and they needed to be fixed to be more efficient for this term.

First, you need to report a minimum of once weekly to me directly by PM. This can be in English, French or German. If it's in any other language, I will have to ask you to re-do it.

You no longer need to post an 'initial report' in a newspaper. This caused too much confusion and you don't need to worry about this.

I will keep track of every report you give to me on your country. You must send a minimum of one report per week. If nothing significant has happened report on something minor and just say no big news has occurred. I will 'score' each report out of 5, at the end of the term, those who did exceptionally well will be congratulated in Bundespressedienst.

If at any time, you have a problem, please PM me in game or find me online on IRC and I will be more than happy to help you. Because of this, if you miss the deadline for two reports and have not talked to me prior to the due date, then you will be automatically fired. This strict rule must be put in place due to a case of 'end-of-term-itis' among a few of the ambassadors last term.

It is the job of the ambassador to represent eAustria to his assigned nation(s). What I mean by this, the ambassador is to report back information on the country/countries, keep good relations with them, and other assigned tasks only. If you have ideas or suggestions for additional tasks (such as initiating MPP discussions,) please brings these to either myself, Minister of Foreign Affairs Rangeley, or President AliasSun for approval.

I'm sorry for throwing all this at you at once. If you have any questions or issues at any time during, before, after your term (or even if you aren't going to apply at all) feel free to ask me.

Jeanlouis, Director of Embassies
