A Tribute To The Fallen (Remembrance Day)

Day 2,548, 16:05 Published in Canada USA by please delete mee

Once again, it's Remembrance Day. Just something to spread the feeling.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

This Remembrance Day is particularly special due to the events in Ottawa and Montreal this past while. Take a moment today to remember the lives sacrificed for our freedom and our country. Every time someone is killed, it is another person who will never laugh again, who will never cry again, who will never breathe, talk or sing again.

Thank you to all the brave, courageous soldiers who continue guarding Canada from threats and danger.

Dead or alive, we salute you. Rest in peace!

Lest we forget...you will not be forgotten.
