A New Chapter Begins - The Future of eCanada [Day 2105]

Greetings Fellow Canucks,

After what can only be described as an eternity, Our glorious Country has been freed from the Tyrannic grip of the Spanish Empire! Let us rejoice, but also look forward with due diligence, as we rebuild our once prosperous and active Country in this crucial time.

First, Congratulations to my fellow brothers and sisters who were elected into Congress this passed election. This is a monumental step for eCanada, and I only wish I was able to walk this path with you all. Congress is one of my favorite components of this game. Unfortunately due to a mixture of game mechanics, and real life situations, I, as well as many of our eCanucks, were unable to reestablish our spots in the Congressional lineup.

For 5 terms, I have served in our country's congress during historic times (Our departure from EDEN/Terra, Joining ASGARD, The eSpanish Invasion). The newly brokered freedom our Country has achieved, as well as our country's collective decision to leave ASGARD, are more of those historic events. During a crucial time such as this, we require a leader who will lead this country into prosperity and growth. Now, as I stated above, Congress is one of my favorite components of eRepublik. There is, however, another component of this game that I've had my eye on for quite some time; Country President.

This is my official announcement of my plans to run as the CPF's Candidate for CP of eCanada. With the help of a strong and experienced cabinet, as well as a Congress full of bright and optimistic players, new and old, I believe I have what it takes to guide us through the fading fog of war, and into the new age of Canadian freedom!

As Country President, I will maintain our relations with eSpain, and make sure that this bid for peace is a strong and lasting one. I will be in communications with the Spanish government with the goal of brokering a release plan for our Maritime provinces that are temporarily under Spanish Occupation.

I will also communicate with congress and establish our next step in global affiliations. There, we will decide which alliance to pursuit membership in. I plan on bringing this to public vote, so that the step we take is not the will of the few, but the will of us all as a nation.

Together, we can rebuild this country. Together, we can reinvigorate our community. This is our country, and we sure as hell proved it to the Spanish. Let us show them, and the world, yet another proud eCanadian victory over those who wish to keep us down! Let us work towards the future! Let this fighting not be in vein!
