A letter to the government
Internisti13
I have a few wishes and a slight criticism to our government.
But first things first let me introduce myself a little bit:
I was “born” in march 2013 and I´ve made a break until last month. I´m a RL Austrian so I´m supposed to be an eAustrian, and I would like to be one
😉
I´ve had a lot of questions after this break and I tried to get into the community. I have to say that there are a lot of very nice and polite people “living” in eAustria and I was well accepted by the community.
Thank you for that!
But there are a few things I don´t like in eAustria:
In this first month I´m playing eRepublik again I noticed that eAustria has/had a lot of problems with so called PTOs. And I know this is very hard to handle for our government and regular work is hardly possible.
Nevertheless I would like to have more transparency about our governments’ actions and their plans for the future.
It´s quite hard for me to comprehend what´s going on in eAustria.
I do understand that we can´t held regions because of the congress elections.
And they are getting more and more, just since the first of August they are five people more, as u can see in the graph below.
But what is our plan the get out the PTOs from “our” country?
Referring to OEBernds article “eAustria” I understand that there are a few restrictions because of the summertime and vacations, but I hope there will be some changes for the future.
eAustria by OEBernd
Sorry for my poor English, I´m a little bit out of practice.
Sincerely

Comments
I think I can speak for a lot eAustrians, when I say we don´t like what there´s to do to fight a PTO-attempt.
The only way to deal with it, is to be patient and look that they are not successful.
For this reason we have less congress elections. To change this in near future seems to be impossible.
The main attack we put down in the beginning of the year, but there is still a core which won´t leave but also won´t to work with us.
I´m living in RL in Vienna and I was born in may 2012 into eAustria. It was the time when the Kurucs PTO-attack run out and many of them now work more or less together with us. They are still in eAustria and especially one of them is still a thorn in our meat. This example shows how hard it is to find the right way to handle such things.
We hope to see soon signs from the tigers, that they really willing to work with us together, but for this time they demonstrated again that they are not a part of our comunity..
I know what u mean and I hope that things to.
But I would like to have a few more informations from our government and some articles about the current situation. LIke the problem with the migration since the beginning of august.
cheers
You do not know to stop the change, because to be change yourselves if you want to be successful.
Ignoring the debates, the underestimation of your competitors, your partners and exclusion, rejection of democracy is not a good way to go on erep and RL too.
You can see for yourself.
We will not give up.
If you do not allow the congressional elections, if you destroyed Austria, if you destroyed economy, if you destroyed bonuses, if you do not sign MPP, if you do not have allies, if you do not give public accounting, we will.
We win the presidential election.
Then we can see in black and white what is the cash boxes and how to steal the old gang and how can we go an other way of power with more democracy and more success.
The free competition is the base of the democratic communities.
You destroy the free competition because you terrified of the change, because you terrified of the competition, terified of the democracy.
We are working on changes, for success of eAustria and for democracy, we are fight against the old, tired, antidemocratic, robber PTO gang.
We win, eAustria win and all the eaustrian citizens, allies win with a better and powerfull democratic community.
I do understand what you mean Eheslo and I promise you that all sounds really good to me but I have one problem: I think I can´t trust and believe you.
If I read the comments from your friends every time there are sentenceses like "We are not here to make friends"; "old robbers" and stuff like that.
Since I´m playing the game again you comment every article with "old robber gang, you destroy" eAustria or stuff like that. There was never a offer to work with this community and I never ever had read something, which approves your claim.
So for me you do and tell a lot of populistic bullshit to rob eAustria and destroy their community.
But u can teach me better 😉
That's it.
I wont not apoligize, if the the painful facts and truth hurts you and your antidemocratic, robber PTO gang.
You destroyed eAustria month by month, not us.
You have been stealing all the taxes, not us.
You destroy our homeland month to month, not us.
where´s the proof?
Eheslo may not see a problem with simply importing 80+ voters over the course of some months, but in a small country, this is a significant number of people. It is not natural growth.
When regular players join the game, it is safe to assume some will lean left, some right, some center - oversimplifying I know, but the point is there is a big variety of views and ideas. Even normal immigration, it is safe to assume there will be some variety - people will want to come to eAustria for various reasons. Out of this diverse group of people, no single group or faction would have an outright majority - it forces people to compromise, work together, find middle ground... in other words, it forces them to play the game.
Yet when one group decides to dedicate itself solely to bringing in people to support their party - by any means necessary - it can throw off any sense of balance. Not only would there be a group that can have it's way no matter what (if it is an outright majority) - no compromise necessary, but this group doesn't care for compromise anyways and showed it's disinterest in the community's trust and support through it's actions. Among many other actions, it is this disinterest in earning trust that earns these PTOers a great distrust. If they don't care about earning trust when it can benefit them, why should we expect them to earn trust when it can no longer benefit them and they no longer need it?
Where does that leave democracy? The game's enjoyment doesn't come from the mere act of voting. It comes from being able to have an impact. If a faction has an outright majority, and doesn't care about any compromise or the larger community, where does that leave us?
Rangeley is an RL us citizens, who PTO-ed eAustira years ago with a lot of international robbers.
They are antidemocratic robbers, who terrified for the change of your funny PTO power.
We - who want kick your ass - are regular players, not like you robbe, who is destroy democracy mont by month.
We have the same rights in this game to vote against your robber gang, which delete eAustria month by month.
Not you will declare what is "the normal immigration", with a lot of your multies and robbers, thiefs, who fight against eAustria.
We are not interested in collaboration with your antidemocratic, robber PTO gang.
We are interested the change your inglorious dishonest PTO power.
We long for a strong eAustria, we long democratic elections, we long publik budget, public debattes from the allies and MPP-s, we long victory against enemies of eAustria.
You, and your robber PTO gang must go.
Yes, I do consider there to be a difference between when someone individually, or even with a small group of friends, moves to a small nation, and when 80+ people move to a small nation in a coordinated effort to seize the majority.
I ask you directly: does it make a nation strong when one party can dictate everything? Do you consider it democracy when the winner is determined by whichever side can immigrate the most people to the country to vote, regardless of what any public debates decide, regardless of any other factors?
I look forward to your answers.
In regards to your accusations, again, I have never claimed to be a RL Austrian. I, however, came here alone. That doesn't mean I have no friends here - far from it - rather, I have become friends with others along the way and worked with many people. If I didn't earn the trust of people, I would never have gotten anywhere here.
This is what seperates a PTOer from a regular player. I'm happy to explain the differentiation to you again - where a regular player comes here for a social game, earning trust in the community and working their way up the system, a PTOer typically takes what seems like the faster or easier route, circumventing trustbuilding in favor either importing massive numbers of voters, or outright creating them through multis. The latter is a destructive form of gameplay in more ways than one.
I would be happy to hear your rebuttal.
The erep give free choice for gamers about their citizenship and their residence. This is a basic right.
The erep give democracy for gamers during congress and presidential elections for the countrí governmentr. This is also a basic right.
You kill these basic rights.
Your robber gang never discussed with anyone that you do not make elections and eliminate eAustria and bonuses.
Your robber gang never discussed with anyone that does not give a public accounting for taxes, public budgets.
Your robber gang never discussed with anyone that does not sign MPP, do not choose allies, and fight together eAustria's enemies against our common country.
Your robber gang never discussed with anyone about the destroying the EAustria's economy and bonuses.
Such destructions and thefts would not support anyone, just amoral thieves, robbers, like you and your gang.
Your "community" which you operate a gang of robbers and enemies of eAustrian citizens.
You are thiefs of eAustria, eAustrian citizens.
You are friends of eAustria enemies, you are enemies of democracy and citizens.
The destructiveness is - what you have done here for years.
EAustria ruined on your hands .
Your robber gang must to go.
Long ago, there was no such thing as citizenship, and anyone could move anywhere, at any time, instantly being able to vote. This made it very easy for large groups to PTO small nations (even some large ones), and very hard for small nations. For this, and I'm sure other reasons, the game admins implemented citizenship - in which you must apply for citizenship and be approved by congress. That way, a country could have more control over immigration and reduce foul play that occurs. It certainly has cut down on the PTO's here, compared to the period of time before it was implemented.
It is not foolproof by any means, but that is the game mechanics as they exist. Anyone can apply for citizenship, but there is no "right" to be accepted. If you were a congress member and I applied for citizenship, would I have a "right" to be approved by you? Of course not. Within game mechanics, that decision is reserved by the congress member. You would not be compelled to accept it.
Yet one flaw in this system is that, although it takes more time, over time one faction could abuse the system to slowly import in new votes (and in the past, has even used exploits to force through approvals, taking away the right of a congress member to refuse an approval.)
That is what is happening now, as over time, one faction has imported over 80 votes. Given the threat this type of action can have on the nation, and the utter disinterest in stopping this behavior, others in the country have decided to take steps - within game mechanics - to fight back and limit the ability to immigrate more people.
It has most certainly been discussed, as parties from across the spectrum have supported these actions. Parties from across the spectrum have participated in CP elections and PP elections, endorsing the anti-PTO measures by electing leaders who support it.
There have been people who have questioned or opposed these actions, yet most have come to support them - partly in thanks to the continual reminders given by the PTO itself of their intentions. Although hardly ideal, the alternative is determined to be far worse, as a nation taken over by a PTO would lead to the very things you claim to oppose.
Not only do PP elections continue - please note yesterday's PP elections in which the PTO attempted to take over two other parties before their multi votes were deleted - and CP elections continue, but the quest for input even extends to holding monthly primary in which anyone has the ability to be nominated - even you. Although you refused to accept the nomination after a lengthy conversation with me, you nonetheless appeared on the ballot with others who did not accept the nomination.
Further, people seem more than happy to engage you and your concerns, again and again, even though you - most of the time - will never respond with anything besides a copy/paste of a previous post. It is not just for your benefit, as it is impossible to know whether you even read our posts sometimes, but with the knowledge that others can have questions about the points you raise, and it is always important to address concerns and complaints.
If we were not willing to explain our concerns or explain our actions, I am sure these actions would have ended long ago as ultimately, CP's are elected by all citizens, and PP's by those in the party. If there was not support for these actions, they could not continue. And the fact they do continue, shows there continues to be support amongst the citizens of Austria who value the community and would prefer it continue to be led by those who play the social game - not merely who can immigrate the most people.
Thank you Rangeley for those patient explanations.
I came to help eAustria, and who are you?
I´m very sorry if I falsely accused you. But we´ve a lot of problems with PTOs and the most of them are member in the "United Austria"-party and they are mostly from Serbia.
Please don´t take it amiss and I wish a great time here in eAustria!
Cheers mate
