Valde Prosperitas Schola
Day 1,890 of the New World
22 January, 2012
One benefit from being Politicaly disengaged in eRepublik is an increased accessibility to new players. Those who are busy grinding the axes that daily carve out our Nation’s place in the eWorld are often too busy to spend the time listening to and helping the (relatively few) new Citizens (who are not multis).
But for several months now I have held no position of influence at all.
During this time I’ve learned about many of the pitfalls which frustrate new citizens as they try to make their way in the New World.
Truly, the sooner a new player can get connected with an experienced player (who is not simultaneously attempting to convince him that 4/5 of the population are bullies, elitists, cheaters, and mean), the better the chances are of that new player surviving and thriving in eUSA.
The sad fact is that it takes a mentor to help new players find the fun around here.
I do not want to duplicate the fine work being done by the American University, or the USAF Flight Training Academy, or the eUS Department of Education. All of these resources do the absolute best job possible in guiding the newest of players away from the despoilers and dead ends.
But as excellent as all of those programs are (along with the people who run them), there remains a need for good advice. And so I’d like to announce the creation of 16 Shells’ School of Great Success.
This Valde Prosperitas Schola will be an opportunity for new citizens to receive the kind of advice that will help turn them into productive, successful Citizens.
XVI Telum' VPS is a private institution. I will be hand-selecting my students based on my own criteria. I will be looking for the kind of players who have already expressed enough interest in this game that they will likely stick around. I will also be limiting the class to no more than 3 students at a time.
Graduates of the VPS will have received financial assistance along with good advice on how to spend.
If you have only recently joined this game and want to maximize your potential for fun and success, contact me.
I have accepted FunctionNine as my first official student to the program.
In the way of credentials, I also offer The Joshua Tree as a recent unofficial graduate of XVI Telum' VPS. I found Mr. Tree early on in his career in eRepublik, where he expressed his desire to become strong in the military ranks. He followed my strict advice, and he is now one of Easy Company's most successful D2 tanks.
He does not buy Gold.
If you know someone who is genuinely interested in becoming a contributing member the eUSA, send him my way. I won't let you down.

Yea I saw The Joshua Tree yesterday and I'm like good gosh. He's pretty good for D2. I'm glad you've decided to accept more people into a training program if he's a good indicator.
Um, excuse me Fluffy's best friend, but in what universe is 59% 4/5ths of the population? Wherever you took 1st grade math, I think the teacher did not teach you properly...
I love you RGR
