Well, I lost fair and square.
Congrats to Chickensguys! I have PMed him with my findings so far on the IES project, let him know persons of interest, and encouraged him to get verbal assurances from all congressmen that they intend to follow IES rules.
I certainly hope he will adopt as many items from my platform as possible. If he needs help with any of that, or anything at all for the good of the party, I’m ready and willing to do some work. I have no problem working with people I disagree with for common goals, such as updating the WTP wiki page under Dom’s direction, something which got me zero personal benefit, and something which I did not even exploit for brownie points on the campaign trail.
A note on the party feed, I am very disappointed with the amount of multi accusations and PTO accusations that were made out in the open. Yes, a lot of multis got banned recently that tried to throw our elections, but that’s no reason to devolve and point fingers without evidence or due process. Also making up PTO accusations against me (I clearly got a lot of out-of-party votes lul) isn’t classy. I will try my best not to hold a grudge against that person, though I suspect they will keep working against me for the sake of working against me. I have no clue why. It is very easy to be on friendly terms with me, yet somehow, this person managed to not.
Not to get too caught up in a personal tangent, my point is this: Alien isn’t even around anymore, and we became exactly what he wanted us to become. We spiraled down into a group of bickering idiots. Our feed was a circular firing squad that reminded me of the Satanic Panic or the Red Scare. We’re allowing ourselves to go so far down and hold bad faith witch hunts, which won’t get us anywhere useful. My advice to heal is just keep sending tickets in to Plato if we suspect multis, and don’t point fingers if we’re not absolutely sure. Most of the time, any fingers we point (my fingers included) will be at innocent people who have done good work to help the party and the nation. Treat every young account as a legit player until they get banned or do something dumb.
