[Statistics] Sky Hero medals

So, the air battle module has been live for a bit over two months now. Let's take a look at some statistics.
Since its introduction, the Sky Hero medal has been awarded 14 474 times (as of eDay 3,235 08:15). Each medal comes with a gold award of 30G, so in total 434 220 gold has been generated by SH medals.
List of individuals with most SH medals
1) Han Solo - 384 medals
2) priviticeruI numa praz - 279 medals
3) SFlorin - 278 medals
4) Ouibster - 224 medals
5) kopfnuss - 196 medals
The average eRepublik player has ~0,24 SH medals, so those are quite respectable numbers. If top5 has that many medals, this makes you wonder how are the rest medals distributed among the other players.
At least one SH medal has been awarded to 1105 profiles. This means that there are over 61k players without the medal.
We have to keep in mind that the sole purpose of creating air battles was to allow “allow new users to matter from their first days”. The fact is, that during the last two months less than 2% of players have been able to get the SH medal. One could argue that the game mechanics of the air battles are not balanced.
Here is a table depicting the distribution of AH medals. As a bonus, I added a column for the part of community that is excluded from the fun of receiving AH medals.
Has the new module been a success in your opinion? Can it be improved or should it just be removed?

well, it is rewarding because COs in this module are useful for everyone, while in the ground module the amount of money you can obtain is insignificant. Without fight limitation and given the amount of fights a pack-buyer can do compared to a plain player theres nothing to do to for free players, however a small player buying packs can be as relevant as an old tank
my first SH was obtain during the summer when i had no pack so it ot all about the packs, you also have to chose the corect time, mondey after 20.00 erepubliktime.
also if you have bp and pp you can earn enough gold in month to buy packs with cc

If they remove the only thing I focus at in this game... it will be quite sad for me 😃 .
But I'm still waiting for those Training Grounds - without those, it is pretty much pointless to even try.
IMO we need more (and more profitable for fighters) Airforce Weapon Companies. new Training Grounds may be way too punishing for a new players.

The game mechanic of sky battles are heavily reliant on you having a ton of EB/Blitz pack + Ebs. So while it isn't easy for a newer player, if you save up your EBs you can definitely give it a go.
While land battle BH for a new player is only really possible with bombs. (till you get a good amount of strength).
