[Kami Poetry Competition] Skydiving

Day 2,450, 10:38 Published in Canada USA by please delete mee

Okay, let's make this short and sweet. This is a poem I wrote a few months ago. It's about skydiving and personally I think it is one of the best poems I've ever written. With all the serious poems so far, I wanted to lighten it up a bit. The poem type is an onomatopoeia poem - that means you use words that sound like sounds in your poem a lot. Now, without further ado, here we go!

"SKYDIVE"

Chirp! go the birds outside,
Slam!, there's the door.
Stuck in a plane, up in the sky,
Boing! - out the hatch.
Whoosh! the wind around me says,
racing with each other.
Vroom! the sound of planes above,
Honk! cars below!
Click! the parachute, trying to open,
Crack! - the thing just broke.
Splat!, on the ground below
Well, I guess I'm dead.

Some skydiving pictures!

Well, that's it. Thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed and don't pick your nose!
