The December CP election is upon us, which means it’s time for us all to get together and choose the man, woman or BP member who will lead this great country of ours.

And this time around, we have before us a simple binary choice: we can choose politics, or we can choose Christmas.

Woo-hoo! Christmas! Everyone loves Christmas! Weeeeeeee!


Or politics.


If politics, good governance and a sensible and thoroughly reasonable foreign affairs policy laced with a hint of safe wars is your thing, then you could consider voting for CptChazbeard. Our incumbent CP has ably kept these ducks in a line so far, so I’m sure he'll continue to do so.

However, if you want all of that but also find your soul illuminated by things more colourful and glittery than just sound economic policy, there is a man among us who can slide down your chimney and make your dreams come true. There is a man who loves nothing more than sitting on top of your tree chucking presents at your family. There is a man who sneaks into your house one night per year to fill your underwear with his gifts. There is a man whose massive sack is full - I’m told - of nothing but bounteous joy.

Who is that man?

It’s Sir Jimmy Savile (obviously).

Jimmy has a wealth of government experience: as vCP, MoD, MoFA etc, so you know that he's a safe pair of hands when it comes to government stuff.

But he's so much more than that. He's the sort of man who's prepared to offer his own name up in a "choose a new name for me competition". More importantly, when that new name was chosen, he's the sort of man who stands by his word and makes good on his promise. He's the saviour of ESO. He's just about the most well-connected player I know, especially internationally. In short, he's a player who represents all that it good, unique and most of all funny. He is the bedrock of eUK society.

So, on election day you can make your choice. Politics. Or Christmas.
