[Govt of eBelgium] Journalism Award

Calling all citizens!
The government of eBelgium wants to encourage good writing and media activity. To do this, we have decided to institute a journalism award with a prize yet to be determined, but to include a cash prize of BEF. This is to be awarded on a regular basis for excellence in our news media.
Before we can do this, we would like to set up a panel of judges to choose the best recent articles published in eBelgium. This panel would consist of members of the government and citizens who are not in the government. If you are interested and think you have what it takes to follow our local media and choose the best, please send a PM to Belgium.info, expressing your interest and why you think you would be a good member of this panel. Applications will remain open through Saturday, and choices will be announced at the beginning of the week.

That was my question too. How can you vote without bias when you are in the running for the same prize?

This is a very, very nice idea! You could also issue ribbons or medals (or any other objects of distinction) which the winners could put on their wiki page or in their signature space on the national forum (to parade with it and show how proud they are with the deserved recognition from their community). And it is definitly not too soon for this award, as we have many talented publicists in our country, who could even compete on the international level (;
