[ESO] - Our Stance on Vote Buying
As many of you will be aware, vote buying is something that has become more common these days, and I have used this method many times to increase exposure for my articles for past articles which promoted my past Minister jobs (MoHA) and currently ESO. I still feel Vote buying has a small place within our media, for very important government announcements etc and the NHS to get 100% exposure to our new players.
However people have reacted angrily to these article votes being bought and so ESO has voted to ban our future media articles being voted up. I agree that promoting self party articles is immoral and so we have come to the conclusion of stopping such activity in the future.
All political parties within the eUK play a critical role of leadership and acting with responsibility for our future players. We hope our current actions encourage other parties to follow suit and stamp out vote buying on a political scene. Of course I’m in no position to decide how other parties make their decisions but I hope this articles sheds further light on the problem.
This is a olive branch, a peace offering and hopefully some closure on the matter. ESO has the interests of EVERYONE at heart and this is the decision we have concluded, thank you.

You believe that its immoral and yet until now you've been doing it as if its party policy?

We simply want to stop the negativity vote buying brings and so we will stop.

Its important that people know that its everyone in ESO except you that disagrees with such practices.

@Invalidation the great thing about ESO is that the party encourages people views on all subjects and accept everyone is different, all your doing here is trying to single out Bigant.
There was a Vote and there was more than 1 vote of each side. Just because the party releases a statement it doesnt thus mean the WHOLE party must believe that way. No-one is ever alone in how they think or feel and its important you remember that
All I'm doing here is pointing out that BigAnt said he agreed that what he's been doing is immoral and yet has happily done so anyway. He's obviously been pressured by the party to stop because he's making vote buying for articles look like its an ESO party policy.
Since BigAnt is happy to continually repeat that 'TUP' used vote buying in the last CP election campaign without considering that it was organised by an individual of the party.
I don't see why anyone should consider the ESO party president's consistent vote buying for party articles as anything but party policy, or even consider his vote buying as an individual action.
Pleasing as this party statement is, BigAnt has failed to take responsibility for his statement that he believed his practices were immoral and yet used them anyway. Must we conclude that BigAnt is immoral, or a liar?
I guess its just a matter of whether ESO is happy to represented by such a person.

Just cause the many think the few are acting immoral does that mean they really are? Does this mean that countries like china and America are always right because they have a bigger population ?

Then BigAnt, I suggest if you want your vote buying to be considered to be done by you rather than the party you represent, then you should stop referring to Greatmoff's vote buying as a TUP vote buying last election.
@NWG: you're being very silly.
A brillaint gesture and welcomed. Mr Keers has made some very encouraging and positive remarks about bringing the eUk together, ESO has stopped vote buying and it would be a beautiful and welcomed gesture if the other parties did too...no ''YOU STARTED IT'' or any accusations back and forth.
With this gesture from ESO i hope we can now see the end of trolling and baiting in the comment boxes and work together through our differences at a very interesting time in eRepublik for our eUK

I say BigAnt has shown more currage and party and eNational pride than you Invadlidation since he has at least come out and openly admited his wrong doings and the party has spoken and I personally am fully behind the ones who say its wrong to buy votes.
At the same time I will say this BigAnt has a good point that country and Party articles need to be voted for and Id personally prefere they were honest votes not bought ones but there are times when no one even cares to vote. -
- I still believe in my beliefs but I also trust my Party President and the PPrezz is someone I'll be loyal as a dog to for life or until he does something unforgivable which ever comes first.
Oh and for those of you who are making sinical comments about our party either here or somewhere else go shuve your malarkey where it belongs and take a good look at yourselves and your party and think these words (Was I in any position to talk? Was I even in the right? Was I wrong to say such things?).
