Day 3,472, 09:11 Published in Romania Romania by Nicolas Cristian Alex Popa

Hello dear eRepublicans!
As I mentioned in the previous article, I’ve started a series of articles to criticise the changes and offer some other ideas. Feel free to contribute with your ideas!

This time we will talk about one of the modules which represent for some of you, your e-life: Politics. This one is in need of a general refurbishment bcs it is pretty basic and is in need of a large update.

Elections
Let’s start with the elections: to improve the consumption of weapons and food, let’s make it mandatory to be active on the battlefield. That means that you have to do your DO(25 kills in a campaign) for at least a week (or maybe more?) before the election day or you don’t have the right to vote or be voted. Furthermore, the reward will be increase😛 you’ll get your standard reward 5g for medal and 1000cc for every day you’ll do your do as a congressman/CP/PP. Let’s not forget: to candidate for any of this position you must have a clean history (and I don’t mean to clear your browser history): nobody that
- Exploited bugs
- Has been caught with clones/multiple accounts
should be able to candidate(at least to mimic the justice system if you can’t introduce it)

Congress (25th of every month)
Well here is another story where your activity counts. Every party with more then 10-20 % of the total population of one’s country (a minimum of 30 members are required) can take part in the congress. Every party has a number of seats (for example 10) BUT to have all those seats, >95% of all members of that party must go to vote – it doesn’t count which party/runner you vote, you need to vote. To limit the influence of other party’s on some fragile party, nobody can switch parties after they exit their own party for 24 hours AND you can’t join a party 48 hours prior to the elections. With this change it is expected that all parties won’t keep all members to have a big number, but it will help with the activity too and limit the influence of clones/frauds and that the PP will have a more significant role in this game (maybe those who are representing the party too)

PP (15th of every month)
Well, I think that all of you have one in your country that buys/sells votes. I find it pretty ugly but can’t complain because it is allowed by the current system and I’ve done it a couple of times too. Let’s introduce some other rules here: to vote the PP you need to have joined that party at least 48 hours (or even more) prior to PP election. This will limit the influence of the outsiders on someone party. The people who wants to be PP must have joined the party a month before they apply for the PP position and they didn’t donated anything in the last 48 hours (maybe even longer). This way, the votes can’t be bought/sold and it puts a clear line between MU and PP leader (people with influence or those who give the daily rations).

CP( 5th of every month)
- Donation thingy (to be CP)
- Activity thingy (to vote for CP)

Mayor, Council (not known at this moment)
Well, I don’t actually know the rules but I’m really hoping that they’ll have the following rules at least:
- Activity thingy (to vote for council/Mayor – the council could also be choosen by the mayor)
- Just the residents of that region can vote for a candidate of that region (and they have to have the same CS for at least a month before the elections)
- Mayors/council medal /decoration – between 500-1000 CC, they can’t get any other rewards (just the normal medals BH/CH/SH/TP and others)
- You can’t be both
- You can’t be PP, CP, congress member, dictator
- There won’t be any elections held under dictatorship -> maybe, and I repeat myself MAYBE, during dictatorship, the dictator will take the role of mayor in all cities and the council will be elected by him (or automatically who is captain/2nd cmd) and/or who’s MU’s HQ is there (I’ll explain this “feature” in a further article)
Their roles are still unknown; the only thing said by the developers is that they’ll control the city funds and the city.

So what are you saying lads? Sounds pretty good right? Did I forget something or would you do something different?

No b00bs because politicians: I h@te them.

Don’t forget to comment, vote, shout and maybe even endorse:
