(Don) How Alliances Will Change?

Day 5,048, 23:45 Published in Ireland USA by Uncle Don

Hello eWorld

In my last article I tried to explain the influence of the changes on how the geopolitical situation is going to be changed. Today I’ll try to do the advanced analysis on how the alliances could/should/would act if they’d follow up the game mechanics changes. One thing is clear, there won’t be a reshuffle when it comes to friendships and devotions. I couldn’t imagine sides to change dramatically, maybe just one or two countries could shift to the other side. However, we could see the neutral countries getting more engaged and picking a side, which is something that could get the balance for the game in a long term.

Theoretically Protectors bonuses are rebuilding V1

One thing I like about the protectors bonus is that it has its limits. You can’t just pick all the countries and be a tank everywhere because of the limited vehicles available. Countries will need to choose their allies wisely.

The other crucial thing is that signing the MPP doubles the progress to get your bonuses for the allies. This could mean that alliances will once again have all MPPs signed between them. However, we might have to wait for that since its going to take a while until we get to see countries having 10+ MPPs signed. Crucial thing about the MPP’s is actually inability to organize TW’s between the alliance members which totally makes sense in my opinion.

TW partners will need to be part of the other alliance/fighting group and there won’t be too many of them. In case of a big war between two countries we might even see many TWs being paused and stopped in order to direct your population to fight for an ally. Its something similar to what we have with the epics now. If your ally has a battle you won’t be organizing epics. In future, we might see allies not organizing TWs while there’s an ongoing war in one of their friend’s country. I don’t need to describe how important that is for the game. Just imagine, 10 ongoing battles and troops focused on just a couple of them. Alliances vs. Alliances, fighting groups vs. fighting groups. Key part, of all of this, is adding the True Ally medal, otherwise the entire change might not see light of the day.

Another thing that needs to be considered is what strategy should be used in the alliances. Are they going to go for 40-50% bonus for each member first, or they’re going to choose going fully just for one ally and then move onto others later. In my opinion, the best way to handle this would be the option 1. Getting 40-50% bonus for each and every alliance member isn’t hard. It only takes an epic or two to get there and it could take up to 2 months to get 50% protectors bonus for each ally in the alliance of 10 countries.

What this means for practical gameplay

Let’s just imagine a couple of alliances. Shifts didn’t happen, but Croatia has managed to get Poland on their side for the sake of the balance. Poland asked Croatia to use their universal points for Poland and Croats did that. This could counter the entire Serbia-Romania thingy directed against the Croats.

On one side you’d have Croatia, Greece, Turkey, Chile, Argentina, Poland, Russia and so on, while on the other side you’d have Bulgaria, Serbia, Romania, USA, Iran, Ukraine, Portugal etc. Since there are limits due to limited amount of vehicles these countries would become much closer and less considerate to the countries outside of these two alliances. They’d be in a war between each others, but they wouldn’t be able to focus on the rest of their current allies as there’s just too few vechicles to do that. That means a large opportunity would occur for another one or two alliances that would have much greater leverage than they had so far.

Remember how big boys had to do things on their own to help some small country since they couldn’t use their Legend ranks indirectly. Same thing is going to happen, but with the Alliances now. If one of the big alliances will protect its current friends the entire Alliance will probably jump into the war. Since there are lots of places for it to happen, we can expect the World War all over the place. Third party alliances will then have a crucial role for several reasons.

One of the reasons is that they’re going to pick their TW partners. Since all those countries in the alliances will have MPPs signed between each others there won’t be TW’s and they’ll need to look other way to find their partners. That’s when the third party alliances will come in handy. Since the current division in the world is complicated we might see many interested shifts among the smaller countries, this is a huge game changer for them.

Final thoughts

This is all just my predictions that usually were always kinda right. I rarely miss with them. However, none of this will happen unless two crucial things are being implemented. First, True ally medal. Without it no one will fight for an ally because it isn’t profitable, it’s not nearly as profitable as fighting for your own country. If TP is removed or TA added this changes will reach their full potential. Secondly, this game needs more players, I was writing about it when they introduced the fuel update and I’m going to write about it once again. Plato needs to come up with a promotion and prepare things in the game for the new players, enable them to catch up easier and join the ranks. This would motivate the current players as well.

If there are stll countries that would like to win, dominate and defeat others their officials should discuss this kind of things. Citizens should question their Governments and take an active part in decision making process.
