[CP] - Special Message Regarding the War - Day 1580

Greetings fellow eBelgians,
I come to you today embarrassed and ashamed.
Not because of our actions; our valiant defenders and steadfast allies fight on the battlefield for the defense of our regions and our national sovereignty. Not because of our diplomatic corps who's tireless efforts have secured numerous treaties of assistance. Not because of our Ministry of Defense and its efforts.
No, I am embarrassed and ashamed that as a CP I have the same title as the megalomanic leader of eNetherlands. His actions bring disrepute to all who share that title, sullying what should be an honor and a privilege, to serve the people of your country.
Instead, the eNetherlands CP has shown that even crazed dictators can be elected to lead a formerly rational country.
And that saddens me.
Earlier today I offered a "white" peace treaty through unofficial channels… a return to pre-war borders, an immediate cessation of hostilities, and terms that included neither side admitting fault. The offer was genuine and I had informed our congress to prepare to end the war.
My offer of Status quo ante bellum was rejected. But not just a polite "No", or even what could be considered reasonable terms, but a direct insult to the eBelgian people.
I can tolerate personal attacks and would be willing to make personal concessions to see this war end; a war that benefits neither side.
But no, the egomaniac of the north demands:
Other diplomatic efforts are now being met with news that eNetherlands is claiming to be the aggrieved party, telling other countries that somehow this is all the fault of eBelgium, that the people of eBelgium are the aggressors.
The dictator to the north is so delusional he is asking his own people to fight on the eBelgian side so as to prolong the conflict and to better show that the eBelgians are warmongers.
Really?
eBelgium wants peace. eBelgium wants an end to this conflict. eBelgium does not want regions of the eNetherlands.
I ask the people of eNetherlands to remove your tin-pot dictator and agree to peace. The CP of eNetherlands is an embarrassment, unable to win on the battlefield and unable to recognize a pointless and fruitless conflict.
Peace benefits both sides and neither side has to lose. This conflict has far passed the point of being fun or enjoyable for either side. If it continues, we both lose.
And the eNetherlands CP needs to check his historical quotes... "Nuts" was used during the allied defense of Belgium, not the Netherlands.

The terms i offered this morning were absolutely fair and equitable. And the offer still stands. A return to pre-war borders, no reparations, no admitting of fault.
I'd say those are pretty darn realistic.

@Goopypants there is no way for us to check whether or not the message Auggy send was a reaction to your first rediculous offer, or your offer this morning. Furthermore, I see no reason to end the fighting just yet.

It is typical for the Belgians that to act base on only emotions and luck. Goopypants is inexperience and that shows with his abysmal governance. Not only does he does not understand international relations and war in the game, he treats this as it is real life. He distracts the issue with Gold which does not belong to him nor the Belgians in the first place. He talks of hollow ethics that is neither practical or ethical. Emotions without fact is dangerous but the Belgians always do not act on facts. They evoke and retreats to the Myth of Belgium (a fictional delusion of the ideal Belgium).
Hypocrisy runs rampant in eBE and Goopypants. You send the Dutch a stupid treaty that violated past deals. Also there is no purpose for the deal. If this is your Realist and Machiavellian style policy, it is a huge miscalculation in which this only makes you look like a fool and tarnish the name of eBE (since eBE thinks that they are all ideal and perfect, Myth of Belgium) I do not think you are clever enough for the realist tradition of foreign policy. This is more of an emotional thing. If Auggy is a despot, you too are one as well. You think and try to dictate terms. You are lying and manipulating your constituency. At least Auggy is more honest and more realistic than this populist rant to boost support for your personal admin and support. With that said, most if not all will reply to this statement via retreating back to the Myth of Belgium. eBE will forever remains in the abyss unless they wake up.
