[Ad4CP] Take my Breath Away

Day 2,905, 04:24 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Addaway

Finance

The full details of my proposed budget can be found here, but I’m going to run through some of the key points:

My overriding spending priority will be to remove the French from our core regions in the first part of the term. All of the nice spending projects I’d like to do will take a back seat until that is accomplished. It’s worth noting here just how expensive setting COs in our recent campaigns have been (~100k spent, which is the vast majority of our available cash), and that I think the eUK needs to seriously re-evaluate our finances to try to get way more cash flowing into the MoD; this needs to take the form of getting lots of eUKers chipping in money, as well as seriously looking at increasing taxation, rather than cutting it.

Obviously, I’m aware that any increase in taxation further is going to require some serious planning to ensure that MU communes don’t simply fall apart, and that is something we’d be doing. But the simple fact is that the eUK desperately needs more money to properly defend ourselves; it’s a case of deciding the best way to achieve that.

If we can successfully manage the current situation and bring this current war to a close, only then will I be looking to give the MoHA and MoF significant funding, the figures for which are on the budget document.

Cabinet

I am in a position now to reveal my full cabinet, so without further ado:

vCP

Garth Lidlington: Done several terms in the MoD now, Garth is experienced, active and someone that I completely trust to be able to make decisions if I’m not around for any reason.

MoD/FA(Foreign Affairs Lead)

Fataliix:By far and away the best FA minister the eUK has had this year, Fata remains highly active and effective; the clear choice to head up our Foreign Affairs.
Deputy:Rohirrin
Deputy of Deputy Secretary General of Minister of Foreign Affairs: Alex Popovic

MoD/FA(Defence Lead)

Aaron Mark Daniels:Did a good job of organising the govt whilst Sambo was at the Rugby this weekend; another guy who is very active, a key aspect of this ministry's work.
Deputies: Paisana and MS10EL

MoD/FA Supporting Ministers

Sambo223: As our current CP, Sambo is going to be intimately familiar with the eUK’s current situation in Foreign Affairs, and as another IRC active guy he’s well placed to support Fata and Aaron.

Paul Tyndale:Paul is one of the most IRC active people in the eUK, always seems to be in touch with what’s happening across the eWorld and has multiple term experience of working in the MoD. A no-brainer to have him involved.

Note: The MoD/FA team is very much a flat structure, with overall Foreign Policy direction and Defence strategy decided collectively by all four ministers plus myself and the vCP. Designating Aaron and Fata as ‘lead ministers’ is primarily a way to ensure that one person has responsibilty for the day-to-day tasks of that side of the ministry (such as opening Commander PMs in the MoD), rather than indicating any kind of hierarchy.

MoHA

Frix: In charge of the overall co-ordination of the new MoHA will be Frix, tasked with tying the three strands of it together into a coherent ministry. He’s enthusiastic and up for the challenge, which in the MoHA is enough for me to give him a shot.
Other Ministers:Cheetah Curtis, MS10EL, Kapten Johnson, Gali
Department for Social Affairs and Citizenship: Glenn Cullen Mr Immanuel Kant

MoF

Huey George: The only choice for MoF. Huey is meticulous and a great administrator which is all that you want in your Finance guy.
