The Wild Geese, Irelands newest premier fighting force was set up to help fill the void left on the Irish battlefields, both here at home and overseas. Already under the strong command of their leadership group, The Wild Geese MU has moved into 2nd position on the land battle standings in eIreland for the week and moved into 3rd for aircraft damage.

So what is this command structure? who is in charge? is the Wild Geese set up like a true and proper military unit? well today, we will like to let you in on this....

A Command Structure to be Proud of

Rusty D
Commander Wild Geese MU

Rusty D is not a new hand at this game, he has played in a few different countries over since his ebirth in Jun 2014. During this time he has been a very active politician, as well as turning his Australian MU, Cowboys From Hell into the best Australian MU during it's active days. Currently he is a serving congress member, as well as a Cabinet member in the Irish government.

Militarily he is in over all charge of the Wild Geese MU, however he reverts to his command structure for decisions and advice when the it is required. Other then being in over all charge, he has provided COs for Irish battles to ensure that the end result is in Irelands best interest, as well as running 100+ companies to ensure all the fighters in The Wild Geese have high paying jobs and a good supply system.

Kattiaa
2nd in Command Wild Geese MU

Kattiaa, love her or hate her, she has proven, no matter what 'Kat' profile she is running, she is one of the best and most organised MoD's out there. Many countries have open invites to her, so she can organise their DoD's into a true fighting force. But lucky for the Wild Geese, we have her as our 2nd in Command.

In this role, she acts like a true military 2IC, ensuring the commanders instructions are set and followed through. Occasionally when the battle is hot, she will swap out with the Commander of the MU, to ensure there is 24hr live coverage, making DO changes and CO updates in an instant, as well as responding to any request from any fighter in the unit. This system has proven successful for many years across different MUs and governments.

Machiavelli
Commander of Land Forces

Machiavelli, what can I say about our current CP that has not been said already. As you can see from his stats above, he is fighter and he has a diplomatic head on his shoulders. These are all qualities the whole leadership team at The Wild Geese MU has. Because it is not just about individual damage when it comes down to long drawn out battles, but about strategy, when to call in assistance from friends, when to set COs, when to start a different RW to drain their damage. With Mac in charge of the Land Forces, he can solely concentrate on ensuring the MU's land damage is at a peak.

Wittyprakash
Commander of Air Forces

Wittyprakash might new to our Irish shores, but he has already shown a willingness to fight for his adopted homeland, as well as help grow our fledgling air force. He served eIndia with honour before coming across to our green lands, where he quickly put his mind into helping our nation. Under his guidance, The Wild Geese will be hoping to develop a leading Irish air wing to ensure the air rounds end favorably for us. For this to occur, he has been promised full support of the MU hierarchy and any supplies needed for it.

While the above is just our command structure, like any true military unit, we can not operate with commanders alone. We value our fighters and currently we have some good ones with us at the moment. These fighters are supplied with a well paid job as well as given the resources they require, based upon their own needs. In the next article from the Wild Geese MU, I will talk about our supply system and why you should be apart of this professional MU.

The New York 69th Regiment was a mostly-Irish Union army outfit.

The green and orange would also figure prominently in the wars for the Red, White and Blue. Irish immigrants were major contributors to the American War of Independence. There was Edward Stack of County Kerry, the commander of marines attached to John Paul Jones during the Revolutionary War. Also James McHenry, an Irish-born surgeon with the Continental Army. He would later sign the U.S. Constitution and become President Washington’s war secretary. Fort McHenry in Baltimore was named in his honour. America’s original navy was established in part thanks to the efforts of Commodore John Barry, a sailor from Wexford.

Not all Irishmen in America were Patriots. At least two units of loyalist volunteers served the Tory cause: The 105th Regiment of Foot (also known as the Volunteers of Ireland) and the Roman Catholic Volunteers.

The Irish were also front and center in the American Civil War. More than 150,000 troops in the Union army hailed from Ireland. Units such as the 37th New York Volunteer Infantry Regiment and the 90th Illinois Volunteers were comprised of recent arrivals from the Emerald Isle, as were the troops and officers of the famous 69th Infantry Regiment of New York, also known as the Irish Brigade. Interestingly enough, this outfit was almost entirely wiped out at the Battle of Fredericksburg in December of 1862 when it went up against a Confederate unit made up of Irish-born southerners. In fact, immediately after the war, Irish regiments from both the North and the South joined forces to invade Canada as part of a movement to topple the British Empire. It was known as the Fenian Raids.
