The Party Forums: I'm confused.
Bakdor Holdren
I'm not sure if I'm just not finding the right combination of buttons to push, but I'm having a little confusion about finding my way around the SFP forums. I've requested access to the BC forum and would like to access the forum where the party primaries are held for congressional candidates (not even sure which forum THAT is). I posted in one of the areas that I DO seem to have access to, and one kind soul sent me a link, but sadly when I click on the link I'm getting the message that the forum doesn't exist. Also, it seems that the total forum activity is dropping along with party membership and total game population.
I enjoy this game, mainly because it doesn't require a huge time commitment, but am sad that it seems to be fading in popularity. It seems that many players are still around out of habit or plain stubbornness. I for one haven't given up yet. We'll see how things evolve for now.

Good to see new active members in the party.
If you need anything else (food, tanks, cash...), just send me a PM an I will help you out.

I sent a PM to forum admins and PP, so they can grant your access request ASAP. I'm sorry for the trouble, Bakdor. :/
To be honest, the forums are mainly used for polls (Congress and CP). Otherwise we use the ingame feeds.
As for the link provided, it's just an access issue. The link was correct, but not accessible with your current access.
And yes, the game popularity fades away, along with active people. There are a lot of reasons, and I think we all share a part of responsability for that (Plato, population, etc.)
I really appreciate the responses. I hope I didn't sound like a whiner : ) Perhaps part of the "fading" problem is that folks don't realize, at first glance, how much depth there can be to the game, especially those who want instant gratification but don't want to spend RL money to buy stuff. I think I've spent a grand total of $20, and that was when I first started playing. I've found that building using the in-game funding mechanics is slower, but more gratifying. While there are several articles available on "first steps" I haven't seen a whole lot regarding planning for the medium-long term. Perhaps one of the more experienced players could tackle that issue?
