The General Thought - "Will Norway ever be able to defend it's own land?"
Jan Anderson
Hello, potential readers!
Today, we're wiping our desks with political cases, and so forth, to talk about this urging topic, Norways Soverignity Power.
More spesificly, we're talking about the capability of our state being good defenders, if not, good aggresors. This same topic was brought up two years ago, with the conclusion being:
"A tiny state can not do that much" - Joshua
... and another comment saying:
"Too ambitious idea, if you think that Norway can be independant and strong".
Set aside the fallout of any wars on Norwegian soil, the core question is:
"Is Norway strong enough to defend our own lands, or do we always need a "Big Brother State" which partly diminshes our legitamacy?"
Obviously, this is up for each and every person to think about, and their own opinion, but at least i can share mine.
Honestly, blaming this on neutral leadership and so on, may not be the best thing to do. Yes, saying that a active President is not doing that much of courages speeches to get us fighting, or even saying much, can be a point to blame him/her on. In reality, the burden falls upon the common man. Is our nation actually capabale of dealing enough force to defend ourselves?
In theory, no.
Norway is the state which has been dealt with the biggest blow in the Scandinavian region. From states having a coup around us, to attacks from nations that we least expected, it has made us a hot spot for trouble. This has not given us any good margin to work out of, as we're constantly in the brink of war.
Results show that our oponments have the weapons and equipment they need, to win the battles, and that our tiny state can not endure against that. Only way to do so is by investing in weapons and such, but is that really worth it?
Many, in this case, would fall on the "Alliance" pillow, leaning on a seperate state to help us.
In my eyes, i think facing defeat, is the honest thing to do. The fact that we lose a war, just shows us that we may need to re-vamp our own looks at how everything functions.
Maybe the time for a stale political age is over. As time and time has shown, the Norwegian people need inspiration, a ideal to look up to. Sadly, we need a rough ideal person to look up to. Someone who can change things and really go out into the world as a strong figure at heart.
In conclusion, are we able to survive fights? No, i don't think so. I think that each one of us needs to step up, and do their part. In addition, i wish for the President to take an larger action in the Norwegian Defence. We need a figure leading us to war, giving us tips on how to deal the best damage to the aggresors. We need weapons of destruction, anything really, to beat them back.
As always, this has been The Independant News, wishing a good day, and a wide eye to our nations actions!

Aye, most of what you said I do agree on. Just keep in mind that we are playing a dying game, and more and more people stop playing this game each day, just look at our last CP Yanisin who threw his hat during his last reign.
Still, there are a lot of real good folks here that are wiling, on a day by day base, to make this country work and do the very best for our great nation!
There are not very many eNorwegians who are as active as our recent CPs have been. I do not blame our CPs for our inability to protect ourselves. I agree that we need stronger military organisation, but I do not expect the CP to do everything himself. It is up to all of us to take action.
