Party President Elections: An Interview with ILP's very own Hexshade
Johannes Cauf
As you all know, This is an Interview piece i did on the underdog candidate of the ILP, Mr. Hexshade. Mr Hexshade was very cooperative and forthcoming with his answers
I found the interview to be a fun and intriguing, i hope you do too.
Now! Without further ado, The Interview:
Johannes Cauf: Well first off, tell me more about yourself.
Hexshade: well, what would you like to know? I am a Young Irish American Socialist from the southern United States.
Johannes Cauf Well the million currency question pops to mind, Why are you running?
Hexshade: I see a lot of corruption in eIreland. I see a militarily controlled government. I see the country holding selections, not elections. I want to change that. I am not at the place in my life where I can have any major impact on the politics of the real world, but I want to help, and eIreland provides me with that path. I want to make sure that democracy increases, that political discourse is encouraged, that people can have a say, and that eIreland remains a haven for people of all political affiliations.
while everything I said there was true, I would be lying if I said I didn't have some selfish motives. I live in a place where my political beliefs are considered taboo, so I have begun to make a presence on many online leftist communities. It have garnered some small following, but really what I want is to become big on a community like r/Socialism on Reddit, because that would enable me to further the goals of the worldwide class war. I had hoped that, in the event of my victory, I could build up a left wing following here on eRepublik and could transfer them to Reddit as a way to kickstart the growth of my influence.
Johannes Cauf: In terms of Left Parties, one party comes to my mind, which is the IRF, What is your opinion of the IRF?
Hexshade: Well. I am a member of the ILP for the sole reason of size. The ILP was the larger left wing party. In truth, I like the message of the IRF more, but, for my purposes, joining the ILP seemed like a more strategic option.I have no problem with either party's message, but I feel like it is moronic that there are two left wing parties, because all it does is split the vote and prevent the advancement of left wing politics. If I were to gain the presidency of the party, one of my first actions would be to approach the IRF and propose some kind of agreement and possibly even a merger.
Johannes Cauf: Last question, Are you confident for a victory?
And is there anything you'd like to say to the eventual winners of the other Parties PP elections?
Hexshade: I am hopeful. I admit I am the dark horse candidate in this election, but I remain hopeful. Whether I win or not really doesn't change what I plan to do. I will still work closely with each of the other party presidents to achieve my goals. So, to the other winning candidates I would like to say Congratulations. I look forward to working with you.
Johannes Cauf: Thank you for your time Hex, The Article will be out sometime tomorrow
And there you have it guys and gals, A True and Honest candidate who brings a lot to the table. If Mr. Hexshade wishes to run for the ILP PP post again, we here at the Insider View wish him the very best of luck.

Of course, two left wing parties undermine the advancement of left wing politics. That's nonsense. The ILP were the only left wing party for a long period of time & did nothing to advance the country or advance the needs of society.
ILP betrayed eIreland and is NOT a leftist party. It's just WHS's entourage...
Look in a mirror and you'll see one of the people who betrayed eIreland.
Look in a mirror and you'll see someone who doesn't give a damn about eIreland
Uncle Bulgaria has been a faithful eIrish player for years and has always fought for us. generally not very vocal, but very nice, and not actually Bulgarian! 😃
some members of ILP truly don't understand why their party is so despised, because they've not experienced what ILP is like to outsiders.
The ILP is the ONLY party that has held the line of ethical and democratic principles. EVERY OTHER PARTY is complicit in the destruction of our community but not joining us opposing the junta who have ruined this eCountry,
Just to remind people that as promised here... https://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-ilp-pp-we-are-the-ethical-moral-soul-of-ireland-2593285/1/20
We are still that annoying thorn in the rancid Junta's paw.
They have destroyed community here and made this country a wasteland.
Example - We are just about to change alliances.
Before used to have a country plebiscite to ratify these decisions but these clowns had an IRC vote with 4 - FOUR votes decided (not a difference of 4 but only 4 vote)...this is what they have a achieved... they could only get 4 people interested enough to vote in their shambolic and pointless pretend consultation.
So I wish Hexshade in the ILP well but he needs to be aware of the history as to why the ILP holds the high ground here.
He might of got this information if, as I suggested to him, he had made contact with members before election day.
My inbox is always open to answer any questions.
i disagree on this.
Maybe you do...btw there are people in other parties that also fought the good fight for what was right and ethical, ILP does not have a monopoly on that but we were the only party that as a team stood up and was counted, we were and still are and as long I I lead us we will continue to do so.
BTW remember Milke Bane's great promise that all will be good in the end and then sold out his beliefs to back the junta? Remember that...well looks like he got eaten by the sharks he was playing with and joins the list of fools taken in by promises of false hope...as I told him he would at the time...
mike bane si a pure ILP product as long i played this game so?
so, as you well know, he left the ILP deviated from the path and decided to support the Junta with some whimsical plan how he would shortly move them to some Dublin commune palavia ...and look what happened since...it is now a wasteland here and anyone who did not oppose them is culpable
Winston is the kind of guy who wouldn't use the Slavery advancement in a game of Civ... due to the moral implications...
Good article and good luck hexshade. Ireland needs a minister of community, you should consider joining the goverment doing that job?
Well you and your "chums" destroyed what community we had and turned eIreland into the wasteland it now is
more interview articles, it's good for our community.
The community died when Slug and the other traitors took over.
@ Hexshade
You seem like an interesting guy, with an actual plan. Welcome to eIreland and eRepublik!
Unfortunately "erepublik" became a misnomer long ago. This game isn't about contracts or votes anymore. It's about super-cap Visa players picking on non-paying accounts or battling it out against each other while the unfunded watch helplessly. The entire game is so war driven that a government is obliged to create a mock war in the absence of a real one.
Our dictatorship wasn't imposed to stifle political discourse. It was democratically created to defend eIreland from would-be occupiers investing thousands of real-life dollars into invading us.
https://www.erepublik.com/en/citizen/profile/1297828 this guy invested more than 20 thousand real British Pounds into making eIreland an eUK colony.
https://www.erepublik.com/en/citizen/profile/1494484 this guy wants to invade us right now. He is well-known to spend a grand on a single campaign.
Whoever leads the nation is responsible for thwarting ppl like these. It's not an easy job. Try launching a civil rights movement from these trenches. We've yet to see a real "politician" willing to make the real commitments necessary to ensure eIreland even gets to have a government tbh.
Mainly political players endeavor to yoke the powerful players with a bunch of meta-laws they draft up. It was quite common for the political players opposing the current government team to place most of us in the same roles if they got elected anyway. They didn't want to do the work, they just want to be able to boss someone around.
sadly, that was an improvement from the era where they simply traded government roles as political currency between rival parties to win elections, regardless of the competency (or even activity) of the recipients of the offices.
National politics has always been a farce tbh.
alfagram is still alive?
im amused
well said
I'm just glad I could be an inspiration for more people to do interviews. You're very much welcome!
