Patriots of the Netherlands...
Welcome, and thanks for checking out my bid for CP!
I wanted to start with an ending statement from elgorro's election plans that sort of sticks with me.. "- Don't change anything that is not broken -" Now im not saying everything from the ground up is broken.. but as a country.. as a nation.. we are broken!!! Things do need to be fixed.. more of the same isn't going to end with a unified and free Netherlands.. If these are the things you are looking for this isn't the attitude or approach that will achieve our goals..
I've also mentioned before that the problems facing our country are going to take some time to resolve... such as improving foreign relations & becoming a player in an alliance that can challenge two's supremacy..& Bringing our country together as one, to work more efficiently on and off the battlefield.. I believe in the coming months we need some continuity in our government to maintain our direction in accomplishing these challenging goals.. Not a one and done before i quit the game and move on.. I have always felt elgorro was an asset to the Netherlands.. but if he is truly quitting, as he announced after losing the last election, then i do not believe CP is the best position for him.. If he is honestly just interested in helping the Netherlands on his way out.. He should join my cabinet and help in a fashion that will not set the country back when he quits.. And after the last month i have a hard time believing he is truly interested in bringing our Country together.. Instead of making amends, he did all he could to stir up more trouble... If elgorro wanted peace in the Netherlands.. he should have been working on that this past month.. I strongly feel a vote for el gorro, will not bring the country closer together.. and without a unified Netherlands.. we dont stand a chance!!
I also believe that with all the political term oil of the last couple months; we have a better chance to put it all behind us, if we elect a candidate that isn't affiliated with either of the feuding parties.. Our Country is to small to be divided in half.. I hope with our Neutral party, the Bilderberg Groep, we can help mend the division that has been created by some of our more experienced citizens..
As for the rest of my plans...
I plan to expand our foreign affairs dept.. The world is in total disarray thanks to two.. Once we are united at home, we are going to need as many allies as possible! & i plan on putting together a team lead by van Spijck that will continue the stellar work they have been doing; along with reaching out even farther and creating a larger alliance umbrella that will have the strength to deal with two..
I also plan on boosting our defense/strategic planning crew.. Communication will increase to maximize our potential on the battlefield.. Fighting tactics will be discussed and implemented.. Timing and coordination will be a vital theme in our resistance.. as i believe in fighting back!! We will have a unified strike before congressional elections.. & if we need to pay anyone i would rather pay Mercs.. than the pink.. Anything given to the pink will be used to suppress another country, or us down the road.. so basically we get burned twice taking that route!
I am also planning on monitoring our market; and importing reasonable priced goods where we currently fall short.. I believe the access to fairly priced goods should be available to all our Citizens where ever they may be stationed.. no reason for a few market traders to reap a profit from our struggling Citizens.. or force them to buy goods from poland or serbia, only to fuel two and their war machine..
We will continue Coaching & welcoming new Citizens with the same team from last term..
Information is a powerful tool.. & with increased communication we will always keep the populous informed with updates on our progress & future military plans.. There will be no secret agenda's or decisions kept from our Citizens..
As a small Country i believe we can include more of our citizens without the security threats a larger nation may face.. The more Citizens involved, the more effective we will be, and one step closer to a unified Country we can be proud to present to the world!!
Now a little about me.. I heard a lot of concerns about my lack of experience.. & its true.. i dont have the experience of our last 3 CP's... but look at our current state of affairs.. they are nothing to brag about.. Maybe a fresh outlook is what our Country needs.. I am currently putting together a very experienced cabinet, and will count on their experience and support through out my term.. Years ago, i was a member of the eAustralian gov.. & even though the mechanics of the game where very different.. the forum activity and governments where set up exactly the same way!!! & as a small, region-less Country.. we need to fine tune ours to be as effective as possible.. A small Country should have less red tape, and a more personal approach to governing its small populous..
I also have made it clear i am not a fan of excessive forum activity.. & this i do believe is a pitfall for a small Countries such as the Netherlands.. However i do think there is a place for the forum, and certain affairs and discussions are best suited in a more secured location.. & as CP i will be active on the forum.. & will try to make if more user friendly for our younger Citizens.. Keeping in mind i still plan on bringing everything i can to the eRepublik platform. The more we keep our citizens informed & involved the more unified our Country will become!!
I am an open minded positive patriot that wants nothing more than to unite and free the Netherlands... I am more that just a warlord on the battlefield.. I have grand ambitions to not only bring our Country together! but to realize the dream of a free & secure Netherlands!! I am very interested in anyone's ideas or suggestions/ along with a hand if i am fortunate enough to be elected.. i am working on getting the rest together, and will publish an article in the next couple days with a more complete list & positions..
Win or Lose, i will remain an active Patriot..

Good luck to you also.... I have listed many areas i believe we need change and improvement.. they are up there.. I also believe our setbacks are to complex and overwhelming for a simple approach, or a one month fix.. i believe keeping citizens that have been working on Fa's in place... we need to continue improving these relations.. I also invited you to join us.. along with other members of the UNP.. The more diversity in our Gov.. the more effective we will be, and the more it will bring us together down the road..
Change takes time...
as for my focus.. it will be on bringing us together as a country.. finding more & strengthening existing relations with other anti-two countries.. as for fighting i just believe we can present a unified & organised front, becoming a more effect war machine... something i believe is important with or with out negotiations.. War is a strong tool in this game.. the stronger we are as a country.. the better we will be down the road... period..
You did not invited me? This comment is the first hint on that. But I'm not interested, if I won't win, I will quit in a week or two.
thats what you said last elections EG , so what is your worth..... you keep promising that you'll quit when you don't win the election but the result is you keep playing.
So why should we take you word as a fact .......when your president.
Are the promises you make to get e-nl also a empty words?
We can't rely on what you promise either , for all we know you could spiral the country in more mayhem.
To prove that you would keep ur word you need to win...and coz it didn't happen the last few elections there is no way of knowing for anyone what you will do.....
Thats exactly why i would never vote for you in THIS election.. one and done.. i quit.. is not a trait im looking for in any CP.. or a message i want to send to the rest of the Country.. We are already losing enough good Citizens from this mess.. why anyone would vote to continue this madness, i will never know!

I see you're in PG and cabinet members so far are mainly GPN people so your stance is to be expected.
Just pointing fingers to ElGorro just shows you're not objective imho. Both sides (ElGorro and van Spijck) are to blame for the current political situation. In agree that a neutral CP would be the best option but I don't think you would be that neutral CP from what I see in your article.
Don't blame PG. It's a MU. And we try to keep it clean, and remove all politics from the shoutbox.

I am Neutral.. i have nothing against el Gorro.. i just think if he is interested in leading the country.. going on about quitting and continuing the dispute over the last month isn't the best way to position your self as a leader.. we are loosing citizens because of all this.. i would love to have a diverse group in my cabinet.. A CP.. should be neutral and not so personally offended or hold grudges that effect your participation in the well being of our Country.. & i agree both are to blame.. but honestly i dont know anything about their actual conflict.. and dont care.. im just looking at who would be the best as CP for the coming month! & i think its time to put this all behind us...
to me personally an observation ... is very different than pointing fingers.. i am not running against van Spijck so his positioning to be CP doesn't really apply to this article.. however elgorro is.. so its relevant to comment on where he stands in regards to the Netherlands & its future... from my seat.. your stirring up trouble here.. lol i feel like im just stating the obvious facts for anyone that was in the Netherlands reading news releases and watching our Citizens move to other countries.. its a sad state of affairs and i hope we can right the ship soon!!

because you dont have the experience as CP and Elgorro does and you are not a big leader only a vice president of the small bilderberggroup
