Hi all! I'm Baby Yoda, a veteran Congressman, and former 3-Term Party President of We The People. It's my distinct honor to be chosen this month as the WTP candidate for President of the United States! I would like to ask for your support on Wednesday, the 5th of May. May the force be with us!
Take America Back
These are dark times as an empire holds the eUSA under oppressive occupation. Americans are fed up with being on the verge of being wiped off the map. I will explore any and all options to get our country back. If you want a President who will start to retake our regions whether it be on the battlefield or through diplomacy, I have the midi-chlorians to get the job done! We've also lost some valuable citizens in our country because of this wipe, which is never a good thing for the community.
War Chest
It's no secret that we have possibly the largest war chest of any country on earth. If we need to expend some of those resources to liberate our country, we will do so. If this is our rainy day fund, it is pouring out, and it's time to use it more aggressively than we have been.
Taxes
I think we all agree that our low-tax approach has been great, and I don't see a need to change the 1% across-the-board rate.
Getting More People Engaged
The more citizens that are actively involved in our community, the better. Telegram is a nice way for people to become more social and involved, and I actively encourage the growth of in-game congress, government, and party activities as the way forward in the future. We also frankly just need to have a little bit more fun here!

I returned to my native county after many years. Why, you ask. Good question. When the initial spark came upon me I asked myself the same question. I mean really, just how much difference can one fighter make? Even Collin can't do it all. But it occurred to me that is defeatism. It's not what I can do but what I can inspire.

Until the diplomacy is mentioned.
Now my stock in trade has been Foreign Affairs in eRep. Negotiations are my favorite part of the game. However now is not the time, this is not the circumstance. Croatia is not in a negotiating mood, they are in a "teach you a lesson" mood. It's my considered opinion that negotiating now is better seen as surrender. I'm not ready to surrender, are you?
That Diplomacy horse got out of the barn a long time ago.

Diplomacy is a tool. Used properly many fine things can be achieved. Used by someone who doesn't understand the tool it can do great damage. A chainsaw can be used to sculpt a beautiful piece of art or destroy a forest leaving a huge mess that takes years to repair.
After all the sh!t talking our government did after we left CODE there is no 'diplomatic' solution here.
I will also say that I am quite happy with our new alliance, they have proven to be honorable comrades in war.
I pledge myself to fight against any plan to abandon ASTERIA, it's time we took a stand.
I wasn't wanting to make this a debate on who's right or wrong. We need to look past history into the future but using the lessons taught by that history. IMO the US made the right choice but that's not my point. What I'm getting at is what's in it for us now and the long run.
Right or wrong, admin castrated Asteria. There is no longer a powerful alliance to swoop in to fix this mess. Eventually Asteria, or what reassembles from those that see it through, will be great again. I agree they were honorable, true friends and faithful. This will take time to sort out.
Meanwhile we're left to deal with CODE or more specifically Croatia. I'd hope those who were upset in changing alliances can now see the raw truth. The current leadership is out for blood, an eye for an eye. The United States was never treated as an equal. Now they want to rub our noses in it.
There were many from all parties and MUs who were taunting them, at the time I was against leaving CODE and predicted they would rise again.
I have learned much and changed my opinions over the last year, though I have never engaged in the playground antics.
Those who know me and what positions I took last May will know that I am defending a very different position now, perhaps that will make some think about our course and resolve to make a stand.
We can no longer jump the fence, we must embrace our new home through the bad times, and strive for better times.
I've told this many times but it is the truth.
When the US had us (Canada) wiped some years back we were trying desperately to be friends. Finally we gave up and started something similar to fighting the way you are currently. We went after your resource regions, disrupting your TWs, etc. Canada wasn't big enough for an outright fight with the US.
Serbia contacted me and ask if they could help and wanted to know what they could do. At first I was terribly skeptical as they were the "enemy". As things progressed it dawned on me that Serbia, and later Romania were asking not telling what to do. That has been and continues to be the relationship Canada has with their friends.
When you compare strength, damage, size of countries you can pretty much determine who'll win a war. But when you forget all that crap you discover what the term "friend" means. Puts a whole new spin on things.
Why stop now jumping fences. It our tradition since eRepublik went online.

I agree, they are in the teaching us a lesson mindset.

Yes, while fun, trolling causes fallout. Croatia's goal is to make us look stupid for making a "poor" choice. Please let me explain a RL truth I learned long ago regarding stupidity and ignorance. Stupid is when you can't (or won't) think for yourself, an original thought cannot be had. Ignorance is when you are unaware, uneducated about something but are capable of learning and dealing with that something. Unfortunately the something we will deal with this time is jerks who are pissed that we no longer want to kiss their ass.

We will always be a target because we are the USA. We have not the strength to be independent. Our side of the Croatia/Serbia conflict is determined by which side treats us better, not which side is stronger. An end to our wipe is either Serbia side grows stronger (how?), Croatia side loses interest (eventually), we negotiate and give Croatia some sop for their egoism (not too much). If Croatia wants too much, we strengthen Serbia or we wait Croatia out. What have I missed?

Several work with Canada. Poland, Iran, Portugal, many more. It's funny to Canadians, the term alliance doesn't hold the same meaning. Friends with no formal agreement working together to cheat a bully of their ego stroking are a beautiful thing.
