July, the month of AMP.

Day 2,415, 09:37 Published in USA Canada by Code-Y

Hello AMP! Media Director Code-Y here! First and foremost I'd like to announce that the AMP PotUS Primaries are open so if you wish to cast your vote, please do so here: http://www.ampforums.info/forum/thread-718.html - I also have an interview done by AMP Edittor Bomb Squad on our AMPer of the week as well as a bunch of helpful information.

AMP is proud to announce our AMPer of the week! OfficerFriendly! His activity in the party is astounding. He's currently on the Media Team as well as well as being a mentor in the American University! We'd like to show our appreciation of OfficerFriendly, and congratulate him for his outstanding forum activity and his wonderful will to help AMP. Here is a short interview with him.

1. What brought you to Erepublik? Are you completely new to this game or you resurrecting from the eDead after years off the grid?

I probably started playing Erep when I saw an ad for it on the site for some other online game I was playing and decided to click through. I had originally joined the game a little over a year ago, and then decided to quit, for RL purposes. When I got back on a couple months ago, I saw how much the game had changed, and created a new character, so I could start from scratch. That's me!

2. You are an AMP media team editor and a mentor of the American university, and that's pretty impressive. What kind of higher aspirations are you thinking about?

I plan on running for congress later this month. Other than that, I hope to get more involved in party positions as well as executive positions (e.g. Ambassador, DoM Writer, etc.)

3. Last month, John Largo and Molly Emma both ran for Presidency. Who you voted for? And why?

I originally voted for ME in the AMP Primary. However, by the time of election day, Largo had contacted me and asked if I would join his presidential staff as a writer for the DoM, and through this I got to see a lot more of his plans for the country. I thought (and still think) he would make a fantastic president, so I ended up voting for him on election day.

4. You have written an article about AMP, and you have shown an extraordinary writing ability there. Are you planning to start publishing articles more often?

I'm trying to write as often as I can for AMP. In fact, I'm getting ready to publish a second article for AMP as I write this. But, I'll shortly begin writing some of my own stuff. I'm working on some World Cup articles, for a little fun. And, I'm thinking about some Erep War Commentary articles some time in the future.

5. If you had to convince a new player to join AMP with only one sentence, which sentence would you pick?

If you think war is the most important part of this game, then AMP is the place for you... Or something a little more eloquent, but along those lines. 😉

6. Where do you think AMP has an advantage over other parties?

AMP allows their members to think for themselves, and to have a wide range of opinions on political topics. The only common factor among members is we want our military to be as strong as possible. How each member interprets that core belief and how best to accomplish it provides for a lot of diversity, and lots of fun discussion.

7. Which part of AMP do you like the most? is it the GTA program, the forums, the IRC etc...

I find myself spending quite a lot of time on the forums. It helps that I get free tanks for posting every day, but I would probably still be on their talking and playing games with my fellow AMPers if I didn't

8. Which AMPer inspired you the most?

Aramec (who has recently gone to Dio) was a fantastic writer, and someone I really hoped to work with one day. He's probably the main reason I got into the media aspect of the game so much. Other than that, John Largo has shown me a lot about thinking for oneself. He tends to disagree with some of the other AMP congressmen pretty often. But, he sticks to his guns. I can respect that.

We at AMP Love to see amazing Military displays, which is why when we witnessed EZC Sweep 1st place in all 4 divisions in USA, we had to extend our congratulations to that MU and all it's members! To read the article they published about this, click here. We also congratulate everyone else who participated in this tournament for making USA a stronger country!
