HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR. FEYNMAN
Feynmann
Hi guys,
Today is a special day in a RL sense.
On this day 05.11., 99 years ago, one of the most brilliant minds and more importantly one of the most fascinating people was born.
Of course I am talking about the Fantastic Richard Feynman.
A lot have been spoken and a lot have been written about him. And of course everyone who is passionate about science had probably stumbled upon his genius one way or another.
So I won't talk about him, but instead I will let him talk to us, trough time, so we can all enjoy his brilliant understanding of the world around us. As I am frequently joking he was a bit like Neo, looking at the Matrix.
So HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR. FEYNMAN!!!
CHEERS!!!

Well. Happy Birthday! 🙂
Honestly, I can't recall hearing about him until now. Is he mainly known in the US?
This is a joke, right?
Not really. I wiki'd him, I still think I can count the friends who know him on two hands at most tbh.
Well, I can't speak about everyone, but as far as i am concerned he is pretty well know, worldwide 😉
Idk, I had advanced physics at the highest level of what you would call highschool, didn't hear anything about Feynman afaik..
Well I doubt you had a Quantum Electrodynamics course in high school - that's where his main scientific work is implied.
But I believe most people know him about his lectures in physics that he gave in Caltech in the early 60s. They have been audio-recorded by the Calthech staff and published as an audio book and as a 3 vol Book.
He helped make the neutron bomb right?
Nope, he was part of the Manhattan project in the WWII so he helped create the first nuclear weapon - the bomb. But it wasn't a neutron bomb in "nature". The neutron bombs were theorized and developed about 2 decades later.
Nice guy xdxd
i cant believe this answer. im not gona tell you your wrong but im gona say you should keep seeking the truth. he did not help create the nutron bomb but his lectures and theory's laid the ground work for the nutron bomb. . a true scientist you never listen to paid for hacks. and question everything. if we really want to know look at Samuel T. Cohen he worked on the bomb with feynman then he went to California with feynman. there is alot of gleaning of ideas by scientists.
as a matter of fact my dad was serving his military police career at the same base as Samuel T. Cohen was inventing the neutron bomb.
@ Gabz - Not sure how I did provoke you, for such a fierce reaction, but I stand up to my answer. Yes, his theories and his cooperative work with Hans Bethe on the fission bombs' yield, probably laid the main foundation Cohen stood on, but that does not put him directly in the process of creating the neutron bomb. Following that logic you can say that James Chadwick helped too, by discovering the neutron.
As for his alleged post-war cooperation with Cohen, going together to California or whatever else, I really can't say. I don'r recall reading anything that puts him and Cohen together after the Manhattan project.
But of course I am not an expert on Feynman's life, nor do I want to be, but as far as I know after the Manhattan project he was kind of frustrated of what he helped to be created there (as were most of the physicists, working there btw) and he never did a military-related research later.
리처드 파인만 is his name on korean, and probably all koreans at least have heard of him.
His academic legacy is mainly at quantum mechanics(as I know), so I think he didn't make my life harder, unlike Einstein and Schrödinger did. I won't learn QM much 😛
Happy birthday!
Tesla was better
Very nice, I like quantum mechanics (or the little bit I understand of it, but, as Feynmann said, "I think I can safely say that nobody understands quantum mechanics" - at least I know the simplest versions of Schrodinger equation xD)
Voted!
putin much better
Article needs proofing.
Votes anyway..
Birth certificate? 😉
Happy B-day!

... I thought this was an article about your own birthday lol.
He was born in 1899? I thought he was a lot younger.
1918
Right, misread the numbers ehehe.
