Hi guys I am an eRep newb and this is my first article. As it is my first I decided to introduce myself and to go for a little bit of fun. As you all see my ingame nick is Feynmann. I am a RL scientist – biotech guy 😉
As for the fun part I decided to share with you my lifelong fascination with science and some facts that make it even more enjoyable.

At this very moment The Earth spins around its axis at 1 000 mph (1 600 km/h), but while doing that it moves around the Sun at an incredible 70 000 mph (108 000 km/h), and while this tango is happening the Sun moves around the center of the Milky way galaxy at about 514 000 mph (830 000km/h) and the Milky way itself is moving through the Universe 1.3 million mph (2.1 million km/h).



- If our Sun were just inch in diameter, the nearest star would be 445 miles away.



- Mount Mauna Kea is in fact the highest mountain or earth.
If measured from the sea floor level it rises about 33 000 ft (10 000 m) high or about 4 000 ft (1 200m) higher than Mount Everest.



- The low frequency call of the humpback whale is the loudest noise made by a living creature. It can be heard from 500 miles (800km) away.



- With it’s over 900 tons of weight the Giant sequoia is the largest single organism living on earth
If some of these giant trees fell on an enemy region it would probably do more damage than Gnilraps for a campaign. 😃



- When a flea jumps, the rate of acceleration is 20 times that of the space shuttle during launch.
