February Party President Elections

Day 1,182, 21:36 Published in USA USA by Pfeiffer.

Party President elections are upon us again America. The top parties have had their primaries, and the voting begins in a few hours (at time of writing). Below, I’m going to list who I think is best for each party, and why.

United States Workers Party

Hadrian X

Hadrian, aside from being a bro of the highest order, is the incumbent President of USWP, a respected member of Congress, and former Commanding Officer of the United States Army. I am proud to be a member of the party that elected him President, and I look forward to another month working with him to better our party and country. Hadrian won the USWP Primary without opposition. This says volumes, as an unopposed primary is often unheard of. There are a handful of people I would make a point to keep in touch with after my time in eRepublik has passed, and Hadrian is one of them. I look forward to another month with him running the USWP.

Libertarian Party

Jamarcus

The Libertarian Party was the most difficult decision I had to make, when choosing who I would support. Daniel CD is a former Party President, and a friend of mine, but what it came down to is that Jamarcus is one of the people I’ve known longest in the game, I’ve come to trust his judgement, and I think he has a very clear vision for his party. Either way, the Libertarian Party wins, as I know both these gentlemen will include the other in Party Leadership, and both have the utmost respect for the other. This is probably the best pair of candidates I’ve seen contest an in-game election in a long time.

Federalist Party

Soren Nelson

My old home, the Federalists. I miss the days of Gaius, Bill, and Pfeiffer, tearing through Congress, battling with Scrabman and the USWP machine (in which I’m now a cog...life is funny, eh?). There is no other option in this race. Soren Nelson is it. That was clear the moment the Federalist Primary started. He has energy, is willing to put the time in, and has a strong desire to see the Federalists turn around their recent stagnation. Even though I’m no longer personally carrying the Federalist banner, as one of the early Feds to stomp into government and announce our presence, I will forever love this party. I wish Soren the best of luck, and he knows he need only call on me to help.

United Independents Party

PrincessMedyPi

I am in love with this woman. You should be too. MedyPi has sacrificed a lot for this country, and the UIP. She is responsible for a lot of their past success, and I know she will move forward into the future, bringing nothing but good things to her party. The UIP was the first of two parties to make me an ‘honorary member’ (the other being the now dead Conservative Party), and I will forever be proud of that, because it’s all because of this beautiful woman. Had I not been a Federalist in 2009, I would have been one of the many players pulled to the UIP due to MedyPi. She recruited One Eye to this party. Really, if she can do that, she can do anything.

South Carolina Ulku Ocaklari

Gs10

Gs10 is literally the only choice for iNCi. Even if this weren’t the case, I would support him 100%. In all of my dealings with Gs10, both officially as Congressional Leadership, and unofficially in the #inci chat room and privately, I have found him to be very willing to work with people to prove that iNCi are not a threat. Spend five minutes talking to him, and the other iNCi leadership, and you’ll be putting cCc iNCi USA cCc in your shouts. They’re hilarious, and I hope everyone can learn to work with them, because they only make America stronger.

Silver Millennium

Glove

Glove is the clear choice here. I get along fine with Nicholas Ryan personally, but he’s gone off the deep end recently. I spoke with Glove, and his plan, if he wins, is to instruct people to leave the party, and join one of the Top 5. The lack of any support from his former SEES brethren caused him to abandon hope, and he’s going to leave whatever shell of a party is left after he’s done to let Nick have his anime party.

Hopefully those of you reading this will consider my words, I stand by each of these people, and think that they will each serve to make their party, and America stronger. Political parties, especially those able to run candidates for Congress, need to be stable, strong, and vibrant. I believe that the people I have listed above will do that for their respective parties, and that will make America a stronger country. At the end of the day, party affiliation means nothing if we cannot come together, and work for the common good. These people will do that, and I urge you to go to the polls in support of them.

Note that it is usually best to hold your vote until your last login of the day, and to check the channel #ato on the Rizon server, in case a potential PTO threat arises during the day. Party politics aside, we are one nation, and we need to stand together.
