Postpone your heartattack for now - this is yet to be signed. As there were a few last minute surprises their end feel free to add your own suggestions, serious or otherwise (article XI. chickensguys is a very silly sod comes to mind)
I should also add that gov advice, if any, is to only approve this after you're happy with every article (and can trust them to honour it). If we do end up with any funny business my advice to the CP at the time will be to rip this up as spectacularly as possible.
If there's no serious opposition then it'll be signed at some point tomorrow. Otherwise, if there is, we'll irritate the world's two superpowers by having a lengthy and disparaging conversation without them before returning to the table...
PEACE TREATY between the Governments of the UNITED KINGDOM and HUNGARY, GREECE, THAILAND, CYPRUS, USA, SOUTH KOREA, ALBANIA, CROATIA, TURKEY and MONTENEGRO (hereafter referred to as CODE) and the Governments of ARGENTINA, CHILE, BOLIVIA, URUGUAY, MEXICO, BRAZIL, VENEZUELA and PARAGUAY (hereafter referred to as ANDES)
ARTICLES
I. The UK Government will not order, direct or encourage its population or resident MU's to fight against the 'CODE' or 'ANDES' alliances.
II. The UK Government will not attack CODE/ANDES out of TW agreements and will resist any attempt by any non-signatory nation to establish a foothold in its core regions.
III. The UK Government will inform CODE and ANDES of any approach by a non-signatory nation to illicit aid in attempts to harm either the 'CODE' or 'ANDES' alliances.
IV. The UK Government cedes control of the following core regions to 'CODE' and 'ANDES' for strategic reasons or that they may profit from UK-CODE/ANDES training wars:-
-Wales
-West Midlands
-South West of England
-South East of England
-East Midlands
-East of England
-North West of England (conditional on VIII - will be held by the UK)
-London (conditional on VIII - will be held by a CODE/ANDES member not embargoed or in a TW)
-Scotland (conditional on IX)
-Northern Ireland (conditional on X).
V. 'CODE' and 'ANDES' countries will seek to guarantee the UK a full Congress.
VI 'CODE' and 'ANDES' countries will seek to wipe or reduce the UK Congress on request from the Country President of the United Kingdom.
VII. 'CODE' and 'ANDES' countries will return any taxes collected from UK regions and deposit the taxes in an account set by the Country President of the United Kingdom.
VIII. 'CODE' and 'ANDES' countries retain the right to attack and secure any UK region with notice; if 'CODE' and 'ANDES' deem it militarily necessary.
IX. Scotland will be held by an agreed occupier (initially Turkey) with 100% bonuses; not included in a TW or embargo with the UK.
X. Northern Ireland will be held by a CODE/ANDES member until the UK agrees to a third TW or requests it’s release.

Whilst this deal helps 6 of your friends, you have to acknowledge that a great deal of your party/MU isn't effected by geographical changes within the eUK so saying "Durrrrr Let's Fight!" is great if you don't care about the other 62 eUKers.

Reads to me that we'll sign peace but also keep your country. I suppose if we have peace the trade embargos will go.

Correct me if I'm wrong - and I probably am on such things - but is this basically the status quo except UK gets its tax revenues?
broadly so - formalises an agreement where they're not trashing our productivity and we're not sabotaging their TWs
So … what is it the EUK gets out of this 'peace' treaty? where it seems that we will be a conquered nation … sure we lose the embargos and the country gets taxes but we still have no nation
We get 3-4 regions that will be unaffected by war which means company owners in those regions can work uninterrupted.
Same goes for our weps region of Scotland which will be occupied by a static nation but also one with higher bonuses meaining they come out quite well from this.
