[Cyp] Thanks to allies, respect to enemies + Meme contest

Dear people,

2018 is coming to an end and it’s time for Cyprus to take stock of our year.
My first words will therefore be addressed to my fellow countrymen : Thank you. Thank you for proving this year again that, no matter the size of our community, we are the craziest fighters in this eWorld. Five times this year, our planes took off from Nicosia and flew to USA, Sweden, Poland, Spain and FYROM. Via these operations, Cyprus reaffirms its will to keep the fight against AsteriA and its puppets, this is the only way for our side to finally be on top again. This is the goal which we should aim for, always.
But all of this would not be possible without our allies, fighting alongside us every time we need it. Thus, my second thanks will go to our brother in arms, who, one more time, proved their loyalty and strength on the battlefield yesterday against both FYROM and France.

As you know, we first launched an Air Strike on FYROM on Saturday 15/12. Our chances to succeed were low but we felt like we had to do something and not just watch superpowers swapping their regions in the USA to avoid high determination in order to sit on full bonuses for the next months. At least, we would drain some damages. Despite the late timing of the attack, which started around 0h in Skopje, all rounds went epic really quickly and soon we felt that the opponent was indeed stronger. Though, we don’t believe in the white flag art and we always fight until the end. I hope our enemies appreciated the battle, we for sure did and I must acknowledge that FYROM is probably one of the strongest eCountries at the moment, the first one to take down a cypriot Air Strike in 2018. We hope that we have been a pain in their but and that we were annoying enough to make american freedom’s quest easier.


In the meantime, France sent an Air Strike to us, threatening in their official press that they would punish us for attacking their ally and that we would lose our regions and our Training Wars. We were not surprised to see a country led by a government considering Cyprus as its archenemy trying to take us down while busy, it even felt like a remake to be honest. At least this time, there was a strategic purpose. We had two options after the French law, voting down ours or sticking to the plan. It didn’t take us more than a second to choose the second option. Why would we fall to France threats ? The original idea (and it was never a mistake, in contrary of what’s FRs Finest is saying in his article, that he didn’t fully translate unfortunately), was to force an attack on Tarija. This choice is easy to understand : if it had landed, France would have been surrounded by enemies and we wouldn’t have allowed it to go anywhere our cores anyway. First we decided not to defend and that explains why we did not contest round 1, during round 2, mithrantir (still horny despite his huge tanking against FYROM) and the rest of the government decided to fight back a bit and make some epics as it would drain France for Chile. Shout-out goes to the gov members that were awake and handling everything while the night team went to get some rest (on the contrary of what FRs Finest article’s french part says, i was quietly sleeping at the time). When we saw that we were winning in spite of French legend XX’s crazy tanking (congrats for new top damage), it made sense to keep going and it led us to victory at round 7. As the victory was approaching, satisfaction started to appear in our hearts but it was soon mixed with a strong disappointment feeling. FRs finest, who called me party pooper for not fighting back in round 1, became a party pooper himself. Unable to acknowledge his inferiority, he started a propaganda campaign against Cyprus, arguing without having to spell things out that we were bad allies. Too bad for him, eWorld is not as easy to fool as eFrance and many people made fun of his words.



What would you expect when you attack someone ? For him to remain silent and let you tear him appart ?
Well, sorry, that is not how Cyprus rolls.

I understand that it’s easier for you to tell your citizens that your failure was strategical, but you ain’t fooling no one here.
Voting down the Air Strike was the best option if you did not want to fight.




To the rest of French citizens, I hope that you had some fun in this campaign, for sure it won’t be the last. As I know most of you, I must congratulate some for their impressive tanking, France is getting stronger with time and it can only be good for our entertainment to have real opponents.
