What I’ll export to the rest of America

Would anyone want some Theme Music? (to set the mood ofc)

The Libertarian Party has most graciously allowed me to run for Congress in Louisiana this month. They also said I was running in Alaska so I think I'll be on the ballet (sp) TWICE, or something like that 😉😉. If you couldn’t already tell this is my platform. I will focus on 3 things in this article:

1. My history. I believe that the past of someone is as important as what they say and what they believe.
2. My beliefs. Duh, beliefs should be here.
3. Why you should vote me in.

There’ll be a tl;dr version at the end.

1. My History

My Early life

Professor Oak, easily seen, was born September 12, 2010, day 1027 of the New World. However that is not the first, or second, account that I have had. I will start in the beginning.
November 29, day 740 of the new world, I was born. My account was mi lyfe ys average. I ended up being banned for multiaccounts, however in my case it was not cheating, as I will explain. Now, this was about a full year ago, so I forget some names and can no longer go back and check my first account’s friends to remember them, so some of this may be sketchy. I was quickly PM’d by someone, someone who served as my mentor for the first couple of weeks in eRepublik. I realized quickly my love of this game, I loved the relationships. Not between individuals, but between groups. I loved seeing the USWP being called ‘Zombies’, the Indo’s called cheaters, the Canadians called Bros, the British called traitors. I love that humans could create this world that replicates the real world to a degree. I didn’t like the game for the excitement of it, or the fun of it, I liked reading papers by greats like Aeros and Sossu. It amazed me that a multiplayer game played by thousands across the globe could have such a history, such strategy. I loved egos like Jewitt, or as some older players may remember, Colbert. The people and the relationships kept me in the game for some time, but eventually the novelty the game did wear off.

The Training Corps

And then I decided to do something. I joined the Training Corps, under Jacob Stevenson. I found out about IRC and talked about Baco with some people from the TC. Eventually I entered a tightly knit group, the 303rd platoon of the TC. It featured people like SecretAvenue, Firo Prochainezo
Elronius (dead ; [ur=http://www.erepublik.com/en/citizen/profile/2322009]Irashi, who may have came back from the dead[/url], Chad Oliver (might be alive), Ido2407 (dead) Sneakyninjapants (dead) and more people that Firo’s friends list won’t remind me of. At that point, I wanted one thing more than anything: I wanted to be an officer in the TC because quite frankly I loved it. I was made an officer after an extended amount of time and realized that I hated the rigidity of it, and quit. I then tried to stop playing the game so much but I couldn’t stop myself (that theme will continue a lot). So around May or so, I entered a new phase of my life: the Mobile Infantry.

The Mobile Infantry

My memory may be slightly rusty, but I believe that I entered the MI under the rule of GoalieBCSC. He was (is) an awesome guy, and I’m not just saying that because I am under him again 😉😉. I also met one other person who I got along with very well, Drsofo. Around then is when I entered the most active part of my eLife up to then. I was constantly on IRC, eusforums (may they rest in peace), and generally doing nothing worthwhile. I realized that the game was hurting my real life, and had to stop. This is when I multiaccounted, making the account mi lyfe ys average 2.0. I didn’t do it to make my life more fun, I simply did it to get banned and quit playing. I was successful, kinda. I did get banned (rightfully so), however I couldn’t keep myself of the forums. Eventually I made a new account in, I believe, Iran. I had ambitious ideas of PTOing an enemy state.

Child of Alexander

Child of Alexander was the account that I made this time around. Eventually I realized I was never going to be able to PTO Iran and I decided to move to a nation that was just recently freed from Russian occupation and Political Control; North Corea. I did some stuff there, primarily doing the bulk of the work in the immigration offices. Eventually I decided that I would rather be in my home of America, so I rejoined. I got bored once again, and quit. Sometime around that point I made another account to try and PTO Colombia, and failed. I was desperate for something fun to do in the game, and I thought that PTOing was the only thing. I failed and got bored again, later I realized I kept getting bored because I didn’t have a good balance between this game and my friends. I needed to hang out with my RL friends more, and this game became more interesting. Around that time is where I made this account, Professor Oak, in the UK.

Professor Oak

I had grown weary of America. I found it a dull place, as many others did in the wake of Version 2 (the first version two I think, not the second, third, fourth, or fifth V2). That is why I decided to join the UK, I felt like being in a place I had never been before. Then I realized I didn’t like it. I didn’t like the people, they were too, polite if that makes sense. There wasn’t the flair I found in America. More specifically, there wasn’t the flair I found in Pakistan, at the start of the Exodus. See, I enjoyed the company of people from SEES, and Dioists I had met the world throughout. I realized that they were the most fun people in the game, so I decided to join Pakistan in the destruction of India. India was also really annoying at that time, so that was a plus. I joined Pakistan, and I had fun with people like Pfeiffer, Glove, MMII, and some other cool people. Eventually, it became less exciting, India was defeated, Max was gone, no one knew what to do. This was when I had to face a hard decision, I needed to choose whether to go back the the UK, or come to America where I may not have been welcome. I chose America, the place I consider home.

America

Around then is when I started getting a goal. I wrote my first American Paper, over allegiances of nations. I have, since then, written four articles all with the same general theme, war. However this was not my main goal, my main goal was getting into the government. I was asked by CRoy to join his administration, but unfortunately the Rebellion won. So I figured that I want to join Congress, as both a stepping stone to hopefully bigger things within the Executive, and as a place to influence the nation in a way that I consider good. This leads me to my next point, my beliefs.

2. Beliefs, Shmeliefs.

Now, to me, this seems small in importance. Beliefs in this game are very limited in their range, whether to lower or raise taxes, and whether to invade Mexico or not. As a congressman I would only even have any weight on one of those issues, taxes.
Disclaimer, Taxes are not my strong point/disclaimer.Now, taxes are a tricky subject. While, it would be most ‘fair’ to lower taxes exponentially, I don’t believe that would be a good idea in this game. The reason for this is obvious, the military is a more efficient use of money than the hands of regular players. Without a strong military we would be much weaker of a nation and couldn’t do fun things like invade the UK or Mexico. I think it would be more fun to invade our enemies than players have a couple more dollars in their pockets. However, it is possible that the taxes are somewhat too high. I will admit that lowering the taxes one or two percent wouldn’t be catastrophic, and I would not be 100% against lowering them. I’m ofc for EDEN and stuff. I’m not gonna try and pull a Woxan/MMII on you guys 😉😉.

3: Why you should vote me in

1. Dan Wang has been elected to congress.
2. So have a lot of players that don’t understand the game as much as someone who has been playing it for over a year (see my previous articles about allegiances and war)
3. Dan
4. Wang
5. Has
6. Been
7. Elected

8. Endorsed by the Libs

Now for the most important part of the platform:

1. I’ve been here for over a year, I understand the game.
2. My beliefs are solid.
3. Dan Wang got into congress.
4. I’ll give you a moving ticket and food to make up for the wellness lost.
5. Pokemon.

PM me if you are willing to vote, remember I’ll send the needed items.

Save.
Are you sure you want to save?
