World Population 🌎
Kame S
Are there too many people in the world?
If all the people of the world (7,700,000,000 people) were squeezed together (4 people in 1 m2), the whole of humanity would fit on an area the size of the Istrian peninsula (2,820,000,000 m2).
If every living person in the world (7,700,000,000 people) were provided with a space of about 1,000 m2 to grow their own food, the whole of humanity would occupy an area equal to Brazil (8,456,510,000,000 m2).
If each family of four members (7,700,000,000 st. /4) were to be provided with an area of about 700 m2 to grow their own food, the whole of humanity would stand on an area equal to Iran (1,648,000,000,000 m2).
In 2019, it was estimated that there are about 7.7 billion people in the world. Almost all the necessary quantities of vegetables for a family of four can be produced in about 200 m2 of garden.
It is known that arable soils today cover an area of about 31,000,000,000,000 m2. The same amount of vegetables could be grown to feed 155 billion people, for over 38 billion four-member families.
There aren't too many people.
There is more than enough space for everything, except for greed.

1000m^2 isn't that much for food growing. It couldn't even be enough to be able to provide diverse diet, not to mention to sustain farm animals if you want meat.
I am Vegan, i don't need meat. But for people who are carnivores 2-3000m2 i think is fine!? And still have A LOT OF SPACE in world. And this is exempla for 1k m2 to show, we can all 7,7B to leave in Iran.
and all that is with supposed World is exclusively agrarian oriented. It's not possible even if we had middle ages technology
Not that it isn't possible to produce enough food to feed everyone, we actually already do, but this presentation is purely hypothetical and implausible. Problem is that it isn't possible to equally distribute all that + densely populated places are unsustainable without going away to secondary and primary industries, further restricting local food production.
This is just a system, this world. And this system don't work. Maybe is time to change it.
System works as intended. No one said its purpose is to be fair. And with greed being inherent human characteristic, anything else is utopia. And I am not talking about greed of people in power, but regular people too. I'm also of thinking that any achievable utopia is just dystopia colored in different colours, or will eventually become dystopia
Nice thoughts man..
Last sentence explains it all 🙁
i dont know if we have people more or less lool
but good article to think
Quantity is not a problem, but quality
Prijem!
Arable soils are increasingly used to provide biofuel - replacing fossil fuel. And that will only increase.
Food production will suffer, as less and less arable soil is used to produce food.
It is more profitable to produce plants for fuel than for food.
I agree with you, this is just example for Iran because 1,648,000,000,000 m2 it is same m2 for all humans to live and grow their vegetables.
