Day 567, 00:06 Published in USA USA by ligtreb

In my campaign, I promised to reveal my voting record in this newspaper. This is the second installation of that promise.

For those of you who like Google Docs, I have also http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=reg6Gte99NJX8OJIy1cy3cg>made a spreadsheet with this information.

RECENT PROPOSALS

June 8, Donate MXN to the Congressional Budget Office
My Vote: YES
Current Status: 26 Yes, 0 No
Reason: Foreign currency is useless in our treasury, might as well change it to gold.

June 8, Mutual Protection Pact with India
My Vote: YES
Current status: 40 Yes, 1 No
Reason: India has been a good ally of ours, and an MPP could help us open up another front against Indonesia.

June 7, Donate HRK to the CBO
My Vote: YES
Result: 41 Yes, 2 No
Reason: Foreign currency is useless in our treasury, might as well change it to gold.

June 7, Peace Proposal with Hungary
My Vote: NO
Result: 1 Yes, 32 No
Reason: Hungary was trying to pull a fast one us, hoping to get an MPP with us so our other MPPs would cancel out if they attacked an ally.

June 6, Donate to the CBO
My Vote: YES
Result: 42 Yes, 0 No
Reason: Periodically, Congress issues USD to the Congressional Budget Office to sell for Gold. This helps stabilize our dollar and make up for lost dollars from dead citizens.

June 6, Mutual Protection Pact with Greece
My Vote: YES
Result: 43 Yes, 1 No
Reason: This could be a strategic alliance for us. If Greece regains their high-iron region, we can help defend it with this MPP.

June 5, Tax Change: Grain lower import tax to 1%
My Vote: NO
Result: 27 Yes, 16 No
Reason: I wanted to wait and see how the change in taxes affected Wood and Oil before agreeing to a tax change with Grain.

June 5, Donate RON to the CBO

Result: 43 Yes, 0 No
Reason: Foreign currency is useless in our treasury, might as well change it to gold.

My Vote: YES
Result: 42 Yes, 1 No
Reason: Croatia was willing to pay half of our share of the MPP, making this even more appealing for us.

June 4, Tax Change: Moving Tickets import tax to 1%
My Vote: NO
Result: 27 Yes, 16 No
Reason: Moving tickets aren't a raw material, lowering import taxes might hurt this industry harder than raw materials companies.

June 4, Donate to the CBO
My Vote: YES
Result: 45 Yes, 1 No
Reason: Periodically, Congress issues USD to the Congressional Budget Office to sell for Gold. This helps stabilize our dollar and make up for lost dollars from dead citizens.

June 3, Mutual Protection Pact with Bosnia & Herzegovnia
My Vote: YES
Result: 41 Yes, 2 No
Reason: They were willing to pay their share of the alliance and could be a strategic ally for us in the future.

June 3, Tax Change: Wood import tax to 1%
My Vote: YES
Result: 32 Yes, 13 No
Reason: The case was made that this would improve free trade and relations with our allies. While I am not entirely convinced, I'm willing to experiment with this and see with it works. If there are economic signs this isn't working, I will try to get this reversed.

June 2, Peace Proposal with Brazil
My Vote: YES
Result: 33 Yes, 0 No
Reason: I don't approve with Brazil's foreign policy, but they have no bad relations with us and they have control of a High Iron region, and peace makes Iron more available for us.

June 2, Tax Change: Oil lowering import tax to 1%
My Vote: YES
Result: 33 Yes, 14 No
Reason: The case was made that this would improve free trade and help relations with our allies. While I am not entirely convinced, I'm willing to experiment with this and see with it works. If there are economic signs this isn't working, I will try to get this reversed.

June 1, Mutual Protection Pact with Czech Republic
My Vote: NO
Result: 25 Yes, 17 No
Reason: Congress was misled by our ambassador to the Czech Republic on the cost of this alliance, so I voted No.

May 30, Peace Proposal with Poland
My Vote: YES
Result: 32 Yes, 10 No
Reason: As much as I dislike Poland's action in Germany, Poland and the USA have not had any bad relations, I don't see any reason to remain at war with them.

LULZ PROPOSAL: This had no intention of passing, with the sole purpose of giving Congress an extra experience point (since you get an extra experience for every vote).

May 31, Minimum Wage
My Vote: NO
