Tutorial for the Sky Hero medal [Stay at Home Challenge (III)] [EN]

Day 4,524, 07:34 Published in Romania Romania by KENSHI Rares

Greetings aviators,

I decided to make an article also in English after the version in Romanian in which I will outline the main steps that should be considered when we want to take a Sky Hero medal in order to achieve it as easy as possible. This article is intended primarily for players who have won stingers (AIM-92 Stinger) within this weekly challenge (Stay at Home Challenge (III)) , but may be useful to all who want more tips for their future in the SH medal hunting. In this event you can gain maximum 176 AIM-92 Stingers if you reach 31050 prestige points . I know that for many people this number is not feasible, but 30-40 stingers should be enough to get this medal.

I will continue to mention several indications that can help you to get this Sky Hero medal easier without fighting other players and not inflicting much damage:

How do I choose my fight?

- Do not start fighting with stingers in a fight in which there is already a person who wants to take the SH medal because most likely this person will try to defend it. As a result you will waste a lot of damage and you may lose the medal in the end.

- Determine in which fight you would like to try to take the SH medal before the air round begins (round 4, round 8 or round 12 of a battle).

- In general, it is recommended to fight in resistance wars and avoid fighting for enemies or countries with many active and powerful players. Fight only in training wars in order to be able to get the SH easier.

How do I prepare and what I have to do after choosing the fight?

- In order to have more energy available and to not consume energy bars it is recommended to fight for the SH medal before level-up in order to have more health from the energy refill plus the maximum of possible energy. In this way you can have 3 bars of recoverable health energy available. For this case I will give you an example:
Person X has level up at 135 000 xp and a recoverable energy health bar of 1000 health. Assuming he has a regeneration of 1000 health available, it would mean he would have 2000 health in total. In this case X must have between 134800 and 134999 xp. You don’t have to be so accurate, you can also consume a few energy bars / carrots to level up if necessary.

- Before starting the round you can use a x2 accelerator of 3/5 minutes to be able to accumulate damage faster and to announce the intention for this medal in a clearer way.

- Make sure the battle is not on the Deploy Mode page, but it is instead on the Fight Mode.

- Keep the page with the fight open and be careful when the timer announcing the time duration until the next round reaches 00:00 , and the air round will start. At that point you must press refresh (F5) .

- As soon as the page with the new air round opens, press the fight or the F key if you have the script [CB] erepublik. Normally if you are careful and watch the timer until the next round you should not start fighting later than the fourth quarter of the fight.

- It is recommended to use the stingers from the beginning to warn other players that you want to fight for the medal. This way you will easily accumulate damage, and the other people who started simultaneously with you will stop (most likely).

How can I decide if I should stop or continue fighting and what should I do during the round?

- It is advisable to stop and try to fight in another battle by applying the previous steps if in the first seconds of the round you fight with at least 3 other players for the country you have chosen.
- There is a unwritten rule that many aviators apply if several people fight at the beginning of a round. In this situation the players will stop fighting if they are not the first person who gave damage in the fight . For this, I recommend using the BattleEye for eRepublik extension that you find in the Chrome extension store. This will show you the people who fought at the beginning of the round and how many seconds passed since they started. The disadvantage of this extension is that the update is done only after 1 minute from the beginning of the round when things may already be clear and you already invested too much damage to stop it. To refresh this statistic it is sufficient to press the refresh button within the installed application as shown in the screenshot.

This screenshot is taken from a fight in which the first person on the left was Vytautas The Great, with a time of 2 seconds after the start of the round, followed by Iskroviklis at 4 seconds after the start of the round. For this reason Iskroviklis preferred to not fight anymore in that round.

- Another possibility is to look if after 10-15 seconds from the start of the fight you are in the first place or not. The most likely situation if someone is not the first after this interval is that he was not the first person fighting for that country. Also, it would be good to watch the other players involved in the fight in the first 30 seconds to see if they stop doing damage or if there is someone else trying to fight for SH using stingers.

- I would recommend to have 90 000 - 100 000 damage during this period in order to be sure that nobody will try to steal your medal.

- Stay online during the fight and be very careful in the last 2-3 minutes of the round.

- Do not fight only out of pride against a player, if you see that the other person does not stop after you have already given 30 000-40 000 damage for example. It does not make sense to consume all the resources just for a medal, chances may still exist in other fights. But if you are the first to fight in that round, the others should stop normally (there are exceptions, but what can we do?)

I wish you a pleasant flight and good luck!

Thank you!
