The war today; day 1,119

Day 1,119, 19:01 Published in USA USA by Professor Oak

Well seeing that there will soon be an opening in the media, I now have the willpower to write again after a long absence. Don’t think I am being callous, I will miss the writings of Lieutenant Scheisskopf, I just found it unneeded when he was frequently writing.

Today is a somewhat balanced day across the globe. It looks like Serbia will finally succeed in beating BiH, Turkey is finally using the strength gained by their babyboom to attack Greece, France is on the offensive in the Iberian peninsula and North America, while on the other side of the spectrum America is winning against our archrivals, the Brits, and Germany is facing a three way attack.

We’ll start off with the sad news tonight

Serbia on the offensive

The arrow is the Serbian attack and the stars are the Bosnian resistance wars

It looks likely that tonight will be the conclusion of the Serbian attempt to crush the Bosnians. They are currently attacking the last Bosnian region, winning six battles to one. If this attack is successful the good citizens of BiH will lose their home (temporarily) and will permanently lose their companies to Serbia. Serbia would also gain a very deer region to go with their recently conquered grain region. Both of those materials will greatly help the Serbian war machine, both being vital to grain and food, the thing that fuels a war. It is worth noting that the Bosnians have also started RW’s (resistance wars) in ESR and WSR. The Bosnians are unsurprisingly losing both of those battles 6-1 and 4-2, respectively. It is vital that EDEN wins one of these battles to save the Bosnian companies. If Serbia wins all three BiH will have to rebuild its entire economic system. Croatia has also launched an attack on the densely populated Serbian region of Vojvodina. It looks like it is a distraction battle; Croatia hasn’t won a single of the four total battles yet.
Note: The reason that it is unsurprising that the Bosnians are losing the RW’s is because you have to be in Serbia to fight in them, Serbian citizens do not need to move to be there but EDEN forces do.

Turkey on the offensive

Serbia is not the only superpower to be attacking an EDEN nation today, Turkey is as well. They just launched an attack on the Greek region of Thrace. Both EDEN and Phoenix are trying very hard in this battle, overall, the BH’s have over one million points of influence.
This war is not surprising in the slightest to anyone up to date in recent events. It was only going to be a matter of time before Turkey launched an attack on the nation that wiped it out only a short time ago. There is, however, one odd thing in this battle. It is the location of the attack, Thrace.

Black arrow shows attack, while yellow arrows show next possible moves.

After the attack on Thrace, The Turks could continue to Macedonia, or to the Aegean Islands. The odd thing is that they could already attack the Aegean Island naturally, and neither Macedonia nor Thrace have resources the Turks need. This shows that this war is not only about resources. If it were then the Turks would take the most direct route, through Aegean Islands and then onto Crete, Peloponnese, Attica, Macedonia, Central Greece, or Thrace, yet they took a less direct, and less valuable route. This shows that either this attack is meant more as a distraction (unlikely because they would want to use a distraction most effectively, in the Aegean Islands) or this is an attempt to wipe out all of Greece. I find it very likely that this will become a focus of war in the days to come.

France on the move in two continents

The French have successfully turned around the European theater and are now on the offensive

France has also been able to counter-attack Canada after a victory in the battle yesterday

Two frequent wars involving France are going on once again. After the French won both on the Canadian and Spanish fronts yesterday France is attacking the Canadian region of New Brunswick and the Spanish region of Navarra . Thankfully Phoenix’s attention is drawn elsewhere (the Balkans most likely) which is resulting in Spain winning 4-0 and the Canadian region at a stalemate of 2-2. Neither of these wars are likely to result in anything big, with all three nations powerful and with multiple allies. This war is starting to feel like the old Turkish-Greek wars, with only a tug of war and no serious outcome.

And now for the good news:

Germany on the ropes; attacked by multiple nations.

This is beginning to seem like a weekly occurrence. Right now Poland has attacked Lower Saxony and Bremen , and are looking to win this one. They are currently up 7-1 with 40 minutes to go. The odd thing about this attack is that it will block off Sweden from moving further than their current attack on Saxony-Anhalt. Sweden is also most likely to win this battle, winning 6-0. This would give them the resource of fruit, which they lack and will boost their food stores. Italy is also attacking the region of Thuringia and is winning 7-0. This would give the Italians aluminum, a resource they lack which builds weapons.

The future in Germany is looking bright for our brothers in EDEN. It is quite likely that Poland and Italy will continue to wipe out Germany which would take all of the German companies and incorporate them into whichever nation conquers it. Another thing that could happen is another Polish attack on France, which would relieve much pressure from Spain and Canada. Germany seems to be on the bottom of the Phoenix ladder, just like always.

America on the move

The arrow shows the American attack on the British

Once again the war between the British and the Americans has flared up, and once again the Americans are winning (duh). We currently control the Irish regions of Shannon and Southeast of Ireland, and the British regions of Wales, NW of England, and SW of England. We are also attacking West Midlands and we are up 1-0. If we can take this region from the Brits we will control all of their iron resources, which will hurt their productivity in the weapons market and make it harder for them to fight us off. Because of this campaign we have gained both fish and iron, resources that we somehow were not given by the developers.

It has also been brought to my attention that the Phoenix power, Indonesia, now has all resources but deer. This will make them very powerful and productive.

I don’t know if it is the 5 hours of sleep I had last night, the hurry I am in right now, or something else, but this day seems like not the most important day despite all of the battles. On the other hand it seems that there will soon be a massive war brewing in Greece.

The war seems fairly even right now.
