The Switzerland Scoop #1

Day 781, 16:53 Published in Switzerland USA by Penguin4512

Greetings, eSwiss People one and all! This is Penguin4512, launching the new newspaper "Ice Cream and Switzerland."

This is my first article, so if you are inclined to shake your head in disgust and write a mean comment below, please stifle that urge. Thanks!

I'm not sure what "Ice Cream and Switzerland" is going to turn out to be. It'll either be an attempt at a newspaper and a failure, or just a complete failure. Articles will be written sporadically, whenever I just want to talk about something.

Well, now that's all cleared up, so I can actually begin the article. If you are allergic to pure awesomeness, I suggest you stop reading right now and go hide in a bathtub or something.

Man, look at the comments in this article: [http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/operation-501-en-fr-1133061/1/all]. They mostly consist of people jumping on the "Shaolins go home!" bandwagon, and some creepy guy called Arschmann posting in clunky English.

Erm... Switzerland's sure become interesting lately. On to cooler stuff. Check this out: [http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/spainish-war-1135178/1/20].

Just to clear stuff up, Spain is actually out ally, for anyone who doesn't know. We are part of a multi-national alliance called "EDEN," and we kick azz. A little mess-up from the Berne Informer, but they're awesome, so I'll let it go.

And now, for my favorite bit of news! [http://www.erepublik.com/en/Switzerland/law/22793]. Yes, it's true. The taxes for wood have been changed from 7% to 1%, after a heated debate about the tendency of wood fires.

Well, that's all for today. Whether you're a 501'er, a Shaolin, a Frenchie, or an ice cream cone (you never know), I hope you enjoyed the article. Hasta la vista, baby!
