The Romanian Elections!

Day 810, 04:48 Published in Finland Croatia by Ion Vlahu
To the people of Finland,

Although it has passed only one week since I formally addressed you fine people, the recent elections in my country made me withhold your attention with a new article.

First of all, with great pleasure, I am happy to announce our new “management” reconfirmed me in this position, so, it seems, I’ll be your guest for another month, if nothing unpredictable happens. This being said let me inform you about the political dispute that took place in the Romanian presidential elections.

Due to some decisions he made during his administration, the favorite of the elections was the incumbent president, andyr, who ran again for Office. The largest party in Romania – Partidul Liberal (The Liberal Party - ~ 2000 members), supported him. The opposition, fearing of another defeat in the ballot, decided to support only one candidate, Xigna, the President of The Matza Party (4th largest party in Romania) and a popular figure in the Romanian society. It was a very interesting political moment since six other parties rallied under his banner, including the other top 5 parties in Romania ( eUGD – The Union of Democratic Gamers, a central left party, who used to dominate, a while ago, Romanian politics; eLAM – The Archangel Michael Legion, a far right authoritarian party; and ePFR – The Romanian Women’s Party, which describes itself as being centered and authoritarian – although i don’t know how that works).

There were two very powerful political blocks on their way to collision and a very interesting electoral clash. But the day before the elections, something unforeseen happened – the challenger, Xigna, was banned and the grand alignment of parties that stood behind him was dissolved. After some controversial events, the opposition managed to decide upon another candidate, kiri II, who was only supported by three parties ( TMP, eLAM and eUGD). However, it was already too late... The next day, andyr managed to secure an easy win for himself and The Liberal Party. And that about wraps it up. 🙂

In conclusion, let me introduce you the Romanian Office:
President: andyr
Minister of Defense: Kristache
Minister of Foreign Affairs: Andrew McWilliams

Thank you for your attention, I wish you a pleasant Sunday afternoon.

Best Regards,
Mr. Ion Vlahu – Romanian Ambassador to Finland
