Thank you Illinois!

I'd like to thank the citizens of Illinois for voting me into office. I am in awe of the support I received during my campaign. I'd like to thank my opponent crashnct for running a good campaign, and encourage him to stay involved, he has a bright future in this game.

The most common question I received during my campaign was about getting Illinois a Q5 hospital. As I've said before, Congress itself will likely never agree to build a new Q5 hospital, so the only way one will get built is through private funds, and Q5 hospitals are expensive (about 500 gold).

The most likely way Illinois is going to get a Q5 hospital is through the http://www.erepublik.com/en/organization/1538535>American Health Foundation. Every 2 gold donated counts as 1 raffle ticket for a state. It will be near-impossible for any one state to raise 500 gold on its own, so this is our best chance.

I just donated 6 gold of my own funds to the cause, and anything you can give to the effort will also help, even if it's only a few dollars (it all adds up).

Once Congress has some real proposals to vote on, I will publish my voting record in this newspaper, so please subscribe to keep tabs on me. Every proposal made so far has been a LULZ proposal, made by the previous congress on their way out with the sole intention of getting experience points, these proposals have no chance of passing.

I also urge all of you to check out the http://eusforum.com/index.php>eUS forums, that's where a lot of important game discussions happen (including the work of Congress), and a lot of fun and socializing goes on too. I have made a thread http://eusforum.com/index.php/topic,2891.0.html>specifically for Illinois residents.

Thank you all for reading and for you support,
