Thank you, Bulgarians in Norway!

This was intended as a comment on this article, but there was not enough room in the comment field. I am going to try make this into an article instead.

First of all, an important rule of thumb:
Ignore the trolls, they are here only to make things worse - and kill angels.

I am vice CP of Norway, and I was not included on the summit help by EDEN HQ. The whole affair of Bulgaria vs Turkey is just another example of how this game can go sour when people works hard to put a bad spin on everything. Give Stakerauo a break, he surely doesn't know all the ins and outs of whatever is going on between Bulgarians who hate Turkey, and Turkeys who hate Bulgaria. I can barely keep myself up to date on the whole charade and drama myself.

Needless to say, but I guess it needs to be said; OBVIOUSLY we are thankful for the sacrifice by the loyal Bulgarians who came to Norway in order to stop the reckless PTOers (including LavBoris.PermBan). You came here to help the Norwegians on our terms, and for that we are forever grateful. Do not for a minute think that we are not grateful. Well, I can honestly only speak for myself. I am just 1 (yes, one) Norwegian player, and my statements is on me, and not every single player in Norway (even if I was CP).

As for the conflict between Bulgaria and Turkey (and EDEN), it is devastating to see this being used as a tool for the destruction of EDEN. I can only think of one group who wants to destroy EDEN over this, and that is the enemies of EDEN. Norwegians are far away from understanding your point of view. Norway was never occupied by Turkey 300 years ago, 1000 years ago or 20 years ago. Comparing that with the invasion of Germany is just stupid. We are in no position to either say "yea, it is fair that Bulgarians do not want or need to cooperate with Turkey", or say "come on, this is just a game. Don't be so childish". It has been said numerous times by a vast number of players in eRepublik. The day you start to mix real life conflicts with the game, you lose.

I've commented this elsewhere, and in my opinion the whole of eBulgaria needs to unite on one thing, either they will not cooperate with eTurkey at all, and let EDEN choose between them. Or go back to the table and live with having to deal with Turkey within EDEN. RIght now, I will chose Bulgaria over Turkey for their loyalty to EDEN and Norway. In my opinion that is fair against Bulgaria. I have nothing against Turkey, and I would stand in line to welcome them if that happens, but I feel obliged to respect Bulgarias choice in this matter. I might find their reasons for not including Turkey unbelievable, but that is hardly the point. Anyone who claims their point of view on this matter supersedes the Bulgarians point of view, they assume they are superior to Bulgarians both intellectually and emotionally. Get over yourselves - you aren't.

Having said that, I urge the Bulgarian players to remember this is merely a social online game. We are not playing this game to decide whether or not we agree on real life historical events, religious hatred, nationalism or whatever racism. Everyone are entitled to their opinion, but not everyone needs to have an opinion on everything.

Finally, just to remind everyone; I am thankful to the Bulgarian players who have over time been in Norway to help us in this game. I salute you!
