Running for UKPP PP

So it's that time of the month again... The 15th is rearing it's ugly head and across the eUK people are getting ready to throw there hat into the ring once again for the Party President elections.

This November, I've decided that I'll give it a go.


For those of you that don't know me, I'm Lady Macbeth, I've been a member of UKPP for a very long time now always working away in the background, offering my support, advice and guidance. Recently I was made Admiral of the Royal Navy (UKPP's Military Unit), and have worked hard along with others to put the RN rightly back into the top 5 (something I'm very proud of). To top it off I was also MoLA (Minister of Legislative Affairs) back in August under BigAnt.






The political scene of the eUK has undergone a change recently. No longer are we seen as being the new kid on the block, nor are we seen as the bad boys (and girls) of eUK politics. That has mainly come down to two factors, the rapid rise of the New Era party and, our willingness to get involved with discussion on eUK's future, and offer sensible arguments and counter-arguments, with ideas that are well thought out and beneficial. I would like to see us take advantage of this maturity, and push for the changes we feel would benefit the eUK as a whole.


For too long the eUK has been embroiled in domestic strife, I feel all parties could treat each other with respect, and as UKPP President, this is something I would pursue, and would encourage other parties to adhere to. We should all focus on the good that the eUK as to offer, rather then being negative. We have a bustling, caring community, that day by day is getting stronger and more organised. Our stature on the world stage has been better then it has for a long time, and we are beginning to be seen as a valuable and dependable ally, which will only help our cause even further.


Lets not sabotage it by turning on each other.





Party Benefits.


As PP of UKPP, I would like to congratulate and thank Alfagrem for once again reinstating the great programs found here that the party as to offer it's members. With his blessing I would like the programs to stay in place and would also like to take this opportunity to ask for volunteers in helping Alfagrem to hand out these supplies. I would also like to thank Slack and Uncle for the supplies and support.


Many hands make light work, and I'm sure he would be grateful. It's simple enough. The supplies will be sent to you, and you simply hand them out via the donation button. Full details can be obtained from Alfagrem.


CP/Congress Elections.


I believe we need to prepare earlier and get our message across sooner, so we can capitalize on the floating voters and unaffiliated parties support. I would like our prospect congress candidates to campaign and release shouts and articles in the week before the elections. I would like to see them making a real effort in order to secure the votes needed and with the parties blessing would be setting up a elections campaign team. This team will be responsible for getting UKPP's message across to the public in all formats (in-game, IRC, forums etc) and also canvassing for support and votes. So if you feel you can help and are willing to spend a few minutes of your time drop me a message.


For those wishing to run for congress the same rules as always apply. Those deemed the most active, willing and driven will be given priority. Age and experience are of no concern to me. So get writing articles and making yourself known now rather than later.


Same with the CP elections, we need to be earlier in sorting this out in order to give ourselves a fighting chance. So get announcements of your intentions in early and the party will do it's utmost to give you the best platform in which to succeed.


Recruitment


The recruitment team lately has been doing a splendid job and should be congratulated on a sterling effort. As PP, I would obviously like to see this continue and will be giving them my full support.


New players are the life blood of a party and all efforts should be given in order to keep as many playing.

Balloting and Party Conference


In UKPP tradition I will be continuing the postal ballot and party conference formats. These are excellent tools to keep members in contact and more importantly informed. A well informed player is likely to keep playing and get more involved. In my 4 weeks as PP I will aim to hold at least two party conferences in order to not only gather feedback but to also garner the advice and knowledgeable of our members.


I'll be making sure every member is informed of the dates and times for these well in advance so as many as possible can attend.





Over the next month I see the UKPP progressing in eUK politics. I would plan to help the parties wishes through and make a serious CP run happen! Its time the UKPP got to where it belongs, at the heart of eUK politics! I would also like to see a push for 10-12 congress persons, which I believe is achievable.
