SOLUTIONS PAGE

PSA: This is a Solutions Page. Whining is NOT welcome on this page. Constructive criticism, no limit on how harsh is very much welcome and encouraged, but should be accompanied by ideas for solutions. Dont be Henock, you dont want to stoop that low do you? Fire off criticism and offer suggestions for solutions.

eSA is in disarray currently. Everybody is complaining so much, its now hard to figure out what exactly they are complaining about and what they want different as well as how. Below is MY take. All views expressed here are opinion. I invite you to tear them apart and or add yours. In the words of Miyagiyoda, our goal is One Nation, One Vision, One something (I can't believe i dont remember a signature that inspires me so much. Classic Henock).

The Economy

Researching info and ideas for my idea of calling for an eSA Economy Summit i found out two things about fixing the eSA economy, it's harder than i thought it would be as well as easier than i thought it would be. Paradox i know.

Harder

I had only found out about 5% of how the economy works and i was already overwhelmed. I found out (more) about "orgs", the RBSA, how the monetary market works, company logistics, etc. Its a mess, i found myself feeling like i was down a rabbit hole. Just when i though i knew "sufficient" i learn about new things, who knew one could have a minus balance? Not me.

Easier

I also found out that we have some pretty knowledgeable persons here in the rainbow nation. I started a thread in game then expanded it and asked all kinds of questions, informed and stupid and the response was absolutely wonderful. These people knew things, wonderful things. Things that got some in minus balances 😉 😉. What was so great was not only that they had a lot of knowledge about the economy module, they also didnt seem to mind to help. Some were even nonchalant about sharing their nifty secrets if it meant they could help.

This is why, here and now, i call on the MoDA, El Reto (great guy, great help) to seek authority from our CP to call for an Economy Summit. The Summit will serve as a platform to come up with and share ideas about what can be done to improve the economy, or at least revive it. The Summit's goal will be To determine what role each eSA citizen can play in the revival and sustainability of our economy.

The Military

Time constraints meant i was only able to concentrate more on the economy. Basically militarily i just do what Leon tells me to do 😕.

Post your criticisms and ideas below.

HOT PRESSING ISSUES (Nation)

Brazil Regions Rental Agreement

Im not a fan of the idea of us renting any of our regions to anyone, let alone Brazil, who i find arrogant and condescending. I however do realise the need for a "big brother" since we are a small nation as well as the subject of many not so nice admirers who would love nothing more than having their way with us without latex on.

I do want the rent we get from Brazil increased.

Russia Regions Rental Agreement

I may be a novice but this deal makes no sense whatsoever to me. Militarily, We do not need further protection, we have Brazil. Economically it makes no sense either since they are paying us peanuts for the regions, and we really do not need the gold, our government is hoarding enough already.

Renting regions to anyone other than Brazil should be VERY VERY expensive in my opinion, my flat fee for a region is 100G. Take it or leave it.

HOT PRESSING ISSUES (Personal)

RBSA

I have an issue with the Reserve Bank of South Africa. I feel strongly about this, i am opposed to the idea of a "guardian".

Im against the idea of Grimstone being our "Daddy of the Nation", basically controlling all of eSA's finances. In my opinion, the nation's wealth, Zars from taxes, gold from renting regions and any other government income SHOULD NOT BE MOVED INTO ANY PRIVATE (OR OTHERWISE) ORGS AND SHOULD REMAIN IN THE RBSA, WHICH SHOULD BE CONTROLLED BY AND ONLY BY THE COUNTRY PRESIDENT.

I have no problem with Grimstone holding government funds invested into it by private citizens in other orgs, no no, as i understand, some of them even used credit cards to get us out of red at one time. But he CANNOT control government income that the country earns as a country.

Now i know most of you will scream "Security, PTOers" and or both, but, first of all, i do not believe we have a PTO threat high enough to fear of a PTO President. They might get into congress but we are guaranteed a "vetted" President for foreseeable future in my opinion.

Secondary, this "risk" is one i believe we have to put up with as a democracy, its the price we pay. What Grimstone is doing is equivalent to George Bush handing over all power to Obama except for control over the united states nuclear codes. "No way am i gonna trust a democrat with these, its simply too risky". Democracy is democracy, this is not democratic.

I should however make this clear that i absolutely have no fear whatsoever of Grimstone EVER running away with our money, i just think its undemocratic.

Government Hoarding

I comment the recent gold redistribution by the government but i still think they can do more. Ideas i have floated with others and vice versa were:

- Giving Government Loans To Citizens: This system will give immediate help to lower as well as middle division players with their company and training facilities upgrades in a form of gold and or zar loans. Pitfalls include players running away to better pastures once they are strong enough as well as difficulties in the ability to pay back these loans as its difficult to make any real profit on the game. The system can also be abused by those with "multies".

- Subsisting Wages of Employees of Older Players: In this system, the minimum wage would be increased to at least 15 or 20 ZAR and older players enticed to employ more people by registering with the MoDA for government help with paying their employees's salaries. There has to be a minimum of employees to hire to qualify, proposed 50, to qualify for the program. The MoDA will do regular inspections to ensure the players comply with the rules and regulations of the program.

Congressional Procedures Act of September 2012

I propose an amendment be introduced to this act in the national assembly to define and establish a quorum.
