Good Morning America, Paul Proteus speaking, I’d like to announce my intention to run for President of these eUnited States. In other words: initiate operation PROTEUS4PoTeUS~



Declaration and Platform

America, we’re a nation at war. At war not only against a foreign threat but a domestic one as well. eSerbia not only occupies a rival alliance, but has threatened our sovereignty through sponsoring underhanded PTO tactics exemplified by yesterday’s events. And as Americans, now is the time we respond in kind.

Free Area showed us many things. He showed us the efficiency we have at adapting to and dealing with new threats, but he also showed us that we are in desperate need for a change in the way we think about ATO. The days when sitting on the sidelines, passively defend our country are over. It’s time to go on the offensive. This is a rude awakening that our current administration has already seen. Serbia has crossed a line, and now it’s time we respond. This includes asserting ourselves on the battlefield and ensuring domestic security by hitting the AFA on the 15th where it hurts. As a country, we have to be proactive; to the AFA domestically and to Serbia abroad. War certainly helps us to be more vigilant and proactive. While the future may be uncertain, one thing's for sure: we live in interesting times, and now more than ever, we need a President who will lead the American people forward. It is my opinion that during my time in this game I’ve accrued the necessary experience to be that President.


Truly, America at Heart

I’ve played this game for nearly 4 years now, and in that time I’ve served in many different roles in many different places. This past month alone, I served as the Secretary of the Media, Deputy Speaker of the House and Vice Party President of the Feds. I’ve also enjoyed the opportunity to lead the Federalist Party for two terms as Party President and the Libs for one. I’ve acquired several terms in the American State Department, once as Secretary of State and numerous times as a Deputy, as well as experience abroad. That experience abroad includes two stints as President of eSwitzerland and one as the MoFA of the Philippines. In all that time, I’ve played through many wars, in vastly different circumstances. What that really means though is that I’ll hit the ground running.

I am running because I think I’m the best candidate for this country, because I think a Proteus Poteus is what this country needs, and because I believe that I can help heal our country domestically and assert ourselves abroad. It’s a necessity in this coming month that America come together as a nation, and face her foes in solidarity. It’s also a necessity that America is prepared to assert herself in CoT, and make sure that the alliance understands that TWO is not only our hell bent enemy, but theirs as well. The next President will have to navigate all of this: an America marred by distrust between her Citizenry and Executive, a Serbian sponsored PTO which serves as nothing less than a direct assault on the eUnited States from her enemies abroad, and the beginning of the inevitable, war with Serbia, a war in which America will need to solicit support from all of her allies and then some if she wishes to come out victorious. At the same time, the next President won’t be working alone, he’ll have the strength of the American people behind him. If you elect me, I can promise you that, going forward, we as a nation will no longer be passive, in war and at home. We will do what it takes, not only to survive, but to win.

Cabinet

Now you may ask, how will I affect this change, well it’s my personal belief that a President is only as good as his Cabinet, and mine's mahogany. As I said earlier I won’t be doing this alone, so let me unveil to you part of my cabinet, just a taste though, more comes later:

My running-mate, my Vice President, is someone who I am truly proud to have on this ticket. One of the most promising younger players in this game, extremely smart and deserving of a chance to show off in the executive, capable of not only bringing a new perspective to the White House, but someone who I can trust to support me in every way.

Next up, my Chief of Staff, a lot of people don’t understand what a Chief of Staff does, or the importance of the position in terms of keeping any given government functioning. There’s a quote from the West Wing I’ve always remembered,
