Poll: How many of you were around for the original invasion?

Day 1,197, 23:33 Published in USA USA by ligtreb

I know that on a day like today, when Indonesia has attacked Hawaii, that a lot of old folks like me are remembering the invasion of the summer/fall 2009. Back then, several countries teamed up to reduce America down to one state (and completely take over Canada), only to witness America and Canada take back all of their regions in the end.

How many of you were around for that?

Please answer Yes or No in the comments.

The war ended on Day 709, which was October 29, 2009 by my calculations. It started on July 13, 2009 (Day 601). Source: DesertFalcon's excellent reporting.

This is a very unscientific poll, I'm just curious to see what percentage of people are comparatively new.

EDIT: Joe Newton has already started war reporting in honor of DF. I'm thinking of doing this as well, but won't if others do a good job of it. We don't need overkill and it's a lot of work 😛

UPDATE 15:45 Wednesday: Preliminary results:

Yes: 120
No: 19

Looks like I have an old readership 🙂
