No turkeys in the Garden of Eden

Day 1,524, 15:29 Published in Romania Romania by Wallachian

I just found out Turkey has been vetoed from joining EDEN. I am glad that an EDEN country has found the courage and determination to speak out loud what they want leaving aside the manipulation and pressure most likely they had to endure.

Congratulations Bulgaria. You are one of the few who didn`t give in to whoring for the extra damage. Congratulations to Canada and Ireland as well who, if I`m not mistaken, have also voted against Turkey joining our alliance.

All is not lost. EDEN was just a step away from losing everything it accomplished for the past two years. A few careless EDEN "good ole boys" who care more about their positions than about the people they represent in the EDEN HQ were ready to sell their assess to the Turks just to win a few battles. They promised Turkey they will join right away. (I was even told to prepare a "Welcome Turkey in EDEN" article even before the summit LMAO) Then because the EDEN country presidents didn`t agree to the idea, they went back and promised the Turks one month trial, which by itself was a mockery of the whole joining process and disrespectful towards any country that ever joined EDEN and who had to go through at least 3 months of trial!

But what can you expect from an illegitimate HQ? At the beginning of December, because the elected SC Octavius Julius had to resign due to RL reasons, a summit was called and an interim SC (Oles) was voted. It was specified during the summit that his mandate was interim and that it will end with the end of Octavius Julius`s mandate. New elections should have been called for at the beginning of January. However they were not. When I asked what was going on I was told that somehow Oles`s interim mandate has become a full 2 months one. Nice....

I wonder, did the country presidents knew about it? I look at the list with the EDEN HQ from the start of November and I see more than half of its members have resigned and they were replaced. Somehow Iaswn has become Assistant Supreme Commander even if no Country President voted him in that position.
Can anybody say that EDEN is currently ruled by a legitimate HQ? No. It`s the same "advisers" changing places between each other, the same "advisers" who tried to shove Turkey down our throats without giving a s*** what the people want. They tried to sneak Turkey in somehow, threatening country representatives that dared to vote against.

Soon there will be new HQ elections. I can bet your ass we will see the same people pulling strings in the EDEN HQ. The reasons are quite simple. The EDEN Treaty is ambiguous and outdated. Elections are unannounced and so they take place pretty much in secret. Only 2-3 people candidate for the position of EDEN SC and then citizens are announced in the Voice of EDEN about who will represent them for the next mandate. (That if they are announced at all)

EDEN is ruled by an oligarchy, many of which are unmotivated and not very active. The only thing that works all right in EDEN is at the military chapter. We somehow manage to win more battles than the enemy. Not because we are better but because the enemy is stronger, more arrogant and greedy, and forces us to stay united.
Until a month ago even this group of EDEN oligarchs managed to do a pretty good job, if you count survival as "good job". Somehow a month ago the same oligarchs made a big mistake which threatened the sheer existence of our alliance. Zdlemmy and a few of his puppets tried to force feed us some turkey meat. They didn`t give a faq (frequently asked question - in case you`re wondering) about the rest of us. Not even the EDEN HQ was informed about this crap. They were ready to even sacrifice one or more EDEN countries just to have the Turkish damage in. And now you know why the EDEN oligarchy failed. Because just as one man (or a few) can ensure a good leadership, just the same one idiot can destroy us all.

For as long as EDEN is ruled by a "happy few" and doesn`t have a real leadership sustained by popular support, EDEN will always walk on thin ice. What if another "adviser" decide he wants Serbia in EDEN? What if he won`t give a damn that the Croats might not like the idea? Who cares ey? It`s all for the extra damage baby!

I won`t waste too much time on Turkey. A country that insists to cut corners and join an alliance is not a country to be respected. Since the beginning they acted like they are so much better than everybody else. Somehow the rules had to be bend in order to have them here. I have no respect for that. Do they even know what an alliance stands for? Do they even gave a damn about EDEN? No they didn`t. They only care about themselves and the fact that they tried to negotiate joining EDEN like they were in the Istanbul bazaar is enough proof to that. Also considering that you can count the countries that like them on one hand`s fingers it`s another proof.

Once again congratulations to Bulgaria, Canada and Ireland. It looks like every other country in EDEN was ready to bend over and take it in deep for a chance to win some battles. Shame on them.
But to a degree is understandable. We the old fagz who remember the old Turkey, the DDoS attacks, the multifarms and bots, the hacking and stealing of accounts, the filling up of Turkey treasury with multi gold just to have Battalgazi win battles in V1 AGAINST EDEN, are getting less and less. Those who supported Turkey joining EDEN are mostly newly created accounts, those who are a few months old, or one year old, those who don`t know the history.

Thing is if you forget the history it will come bite your ass off. And that is what happened now.

Turkey not joining EDEN doesn`t change that much. The shame is there still. Somehow EDEN is not the eternal, moral, "goody" alliance some of us had faith in. Turkey not joining ensured that we are still the ones who didn`t betray our brothers for the sake of victory, who didn't sacrifice our smaller countries for the sake of extra damage. No way can we compare EDEN with the bad smell coming from the sewer named ONE. Somehow we managed to survive and to still have some dignity left. But we were very close to lose everything. Only because of a few people who think they are so much better than everybody else.

Anyway I`m a bit far off from reaching a conclusion regarding the survival of an alliance in a game that seems to be dying bit by bit. In case things don`t change, this whole New World will enter Eden soon enough.
