No Power to the people!

Day 2,035, 14:57 Published in South Africa South Africa by Wilpanzer

The night is dark. You can hear dogs barking, doors shutting and opening, cars rumbling about and matches being lit...

What's happening!?

You call your neighbor:

You: "Hello, is your power off too?"

Neighbor: "Yes, didn't you get the schedules?"

You: "Ah fraking postman!"
(This has indeed happened to me many a time)

You've just been left - in the DARK!

What does it mean to be in the dark?
- There's no electronic functionality
- No distribution or reception for information
- Basically no entertainment other than drinking and braaiing(BBQ)

What happens when a country gets left in the dark?
You get airstriked for no disclosed reason.

If you're lucky you could accidentally stumble upon the apparent enemy's CP who informs you regarding the matter at hand

Let's get to the point then. The flow of information on forum and in-game is now set at a minimal rate. Let me remind you what we could've heard from our government, but had to find out ourselves.

eAustralia has left NaN:
Cody is a consul in NaN
Grimstone and Fhaemita are in foreign affairs.
Did we hear anything from them?

Does anyone in government have anything to say about eAustralia leaving NaN?

eRussia proposed an airstrike:
Did our CP write an article explaining the interrim(preliminary settlement) situation to us?
Yes, very faintly

Congress saw us asking questions in-game. Why didn't they explain the situation to us?

Anyone in eSA can really put eSA's government on the chopping block. One can even objectively justify calling eSA a dictatorship/aristocracy/monarchy etc. because the motto used by our own CP - Amandla, Awethu. Power to the people. really doesn't reflect on how he's dealing with the current situation. It's more like: "We know what we're doing, just let us handle everything, we'll notify you guys when it's too late to turn back"

o7 to Li, Nickerball and the MoS team for caring because that's perhaps the biggest luxury one can get in eSA. We're just way too apathetic to even think about liberation! Who's going to care about foreign relations when we're not going to have to choose MPPs approved by Brazil?

This is mismanagement, poor delegation, undermining, deceitful and undemocratic.

Don't see this as an isolated incident. eSA's public has been kept out of the loop for too long! Grimstone's government and various governments before him have declined disclosing information to the public for the overt reason of "not trying to feed misinformation to the public while negotiations are still in tact". What's that? We are basically 120 people who mean the world to eSA:
Locutus: the hardline eSouth African. An uncompromising presence in eSA.
Rexdeus: Reminds us all that eBrazil is less renter, more occupier.
Adunit: pops up now and then, but not afraid to acknowledge the truth
Leon: a hell of a soldier
Henock: if you want more comments in your article, mention him!
Luc Praetor: eSA's best writer
The Macedonians: hard hitters. They showed eSA how a MU should be run.
Kaptein Balsak: a legend, quiet, but still deals damage
SM333ZA: secretly conspiring to take over the world 😉
Dule87: went through hell to prove himself a legitimate citizen. He fought loyally for eSA every day on #eSAAF-MA
El Fidel: he's still kicking BHs!
Rusty Kuntz: the guy's still drunk and commenting on Leon's articles
Enbaros: a much valued politician who's still politicizing
Marmaduke: wants a revolution
Jizzie: the guy wants to be CP, he also wants to give eBrazil a run for their money.
Saffa manne: the "new guy". He's determined and ready for action.
Don Vin: invented "The Hot Seat"
Samurai: been a loyal member of RISE and SAGP for a long time
Enriche: he doesn't show up much, but when he does...things happen
Josh Whitehea😛 that guy who ever so often writes hilarious articles
...and many more
These guys mentioned are new guys or rarely show up on forum. There are other higher-up classes of citizens also unappreciated.

Even if we disagree politically, we all contribute to the statistic that is the bigger picture, the freedom, the welfare, the sovereignty and the integrity of our country. Why is it so important that information must be dubbed too sensitive for the other 100 people who actually give a sh!t?

So government. Go on creating private messages. Keep vital info away from us. Neglect to tell us what the situation is, why we fight someone and why we like someone, because in the end you're going to lose in anyway. The more you marginalize your own citizens, the more they're going to "forget" to fight, "forget" to vote, "forget" to obey the law. Because you seem to have a great time "forgetting" to regarding us as 1st class citizens.

Thanks for reading.
