First some mood music for those who care!

Breaking up is so hard to do

Many were shocked when I announced in the Federalist Forum a few weeks that I would be leaving the party. I wanted to set the record straight. I did NOT leave due to any ill feelings towards the party or its leadership. Instead, I am honored to have served so long in the party and I cherish the experiences and friendships that we made. In all honestly, joining the Bastards of Liberty was something I have been considering for a few months. I missed the days when the Federalist Party was just starting with all its ambitions and drive and not a Top 5 party. Something gets lost once a party holds its place in the Top 5 too long. Every member was important then and given opportunities to achieve instead of being lost in a mob. So I decided it was time to leave and join another party whose ideologies matched mine. Somewhere I could make a difference and help build a strong foundation for growth.

I am still friends with many within the party and have kept my membership within Easy Company Militia. Someday I would like to see BoL and Federalist work together and achieve much.

My Official Congressional Candidacy Announcement

I have decided to run another term and with the blessing of the Federalist Leadership through the Inter-party exchange program, I will be running under the Federalist Banner in the great state of Minnesota. I have had mixed success running in this state so I hope I can gain your support.

This is my promise to all my constituents and national residents:

1. To uphold and maintain the my dignity with the best of my ability through honesty and integrity.
2. To make informed, researched political decisions on proposed laws and be involved in useful and active dialog.
3. Share openly and honestly with the public my congressional record.
4. Continued support of the eUS Military and private militias.
5. To openly listen to and address citizen concerns on pertinent issues.
6. I cannot promise that I will not make mistakes; but I do promise to take full accountability and ownership for all of my actions.
7. To be active and participate.

During my previous terms in congress, I found it amusing when people with new, fresh ideas or those whom wanted to think outside the box were immediately criticized by a select few. I will not name names, but their response was always the same. That is the role of blah…blah…blah or that is outside the authority of congress blah…blah…blah. What most people do not understand is that anything outside normal game mechanics (i.e. tax, donations, alliance, and natural enemy proposals) is outside the congressional authority. Everything else they claim that is within their authority was created by congress in what is now termed as the eUS constitution and codes. I should know because I was involved in writing some of the sections and was also involved in rewriting them when they lost the original forum and files.

Bottom line is everything outside of game mechanics is just pomp and circumstance. New congressmen with ideas should not feel threaten by the select few who think they have unwarranted authority. It does not mean you should not follow the proper proceedings and procedures as they are written, that would be a rogue congressman, but use them to your advantage and do not be afraid to propose different ideas. As your elected congressmen, I attend to do just that and support others to do the same.

I won’t lie to you. I have held eight nonconsecutive terms in congress and many positions both in party and in the national government. However, not once did I ever push my agenda for personal gain. I feel strongly that new ideas and leaders are the key to future growth and success. That may ruffle a few feathers of those that currently believe they hold power, but I honestly do not care.
