Monsieur Guillontine for Party President! (June 2011)

People of eBelgium,

Party president elections are coming up, and this one will be the third time for the re-founded United Belgian Independents Party. Chris Stanwick, our current amazing party president, has decided to allow me to take on his responsibilities.

In the last month, membership has not increased or decreased. However, we are still tied with the All TOgethers, making us the third largest party in Belgium. In the last Congressional election, we won 5 congress seats, representing roughly 18% of eBelgium.

The United Belgian Independents Party is beginning to grow, and showing that as a party, we are able to make decisions as a group. Although all our members come to this party with different views, what makes the United Belgian Independents Party so special is that we are able to accept and compromise. We are always understanding of one another, whether our opinions may seem strange or strict, yet, in the end, we are still one party, the United Belgian Independents Party.

So tomorrow when you vote for your party president candidate, please remember me, Monsieur Guillontine. I am here to represent you and the United Belgian Independents Party. Thank you.

The only number there I had to verify of course, and 5 out of 30 seats makes 16.7%. 22 votes on 151 votes expressed makes 14.6%. Where does this number of 18% come from?

Yes, M. Guillontine - apparently the computed figure of 17.86% corresponds to 5 of the current 28 congress members. It's just how you see it, but you're certainly right with your numbers. Thanks for the clarification.
