Ministry of Finance...At It Again

Day 1,815, 21:12 Published in Ireland Ireland by AppleMan

Greetings from your Minister of Finance

It feels good to be back in this office which some of you may know I held for quite a long time, quite a long time ago. I really can't stand theft and drama when it concerns public money and I felt it was time to step in and help stop the hemorrhaging. We can all thank Nogin for cleaning up the initial CF and handing me clean keys. You really old players may remember that I've been through this before after the actions of a certain BB. Ok, enough of the history lesson.

Security??? Yes!

Let me assure you that the treasury is secure. With the approval of our country president I agreed to be the sole person with access to the bank org that holds most of the treasury. Barring acts of Dio or a true hacking pro our funds will remain secure as will their shiny new email accounts that will alert my cell phone if a reset is attempted. Also, I hid it in a pretty secure place.

Security through Accountability

I believe that it is very possible to keep our money secure without keeping secrets. While it's not a good idea to constantly publicise a target for theft I want to make sure that we maintain accountability. As a first step, here's a snapshot of the treasury ledger I received from Nogin, who is, by the way, a spreadsheet Goddess:

Note: Org names have been changed for security.

I will gladly respond to trusted Irish citizens at any point in this term who are curious about the treasury balance, just send me a PM.
Kurgan, I'm already waiting on yours.

Moving Forward

While most of our plans are still on the drawing board, here are the goals of the Finance Ministry for this term:

1. Rebuild the Treasury from the robberies
This will include active market trading, a review of our current tax rates and a healthy version of austerity.

2. Ensure economic growth
I'm not going to propose heavy taxes, we need to keep our domestic market growing.

3. Supply the Irish Army
Supplies for the Army will continue, with austerity in mind.
Want to help us make weapons? PM me.
For supplies contact your commanding officer.

4. Ensure revenue to keep up our required MPPs
As advised by the Defense Ministry, with austerity in mind.

Thanks for reading. Now if you'll excuse me I have to go check on the interns.
