Join the new world

One thing I have seen frequently is a disregard by people of the alliances of nations. People always know the bigger ‘classic’ nations allegiances; such as how Spain, Romania, Poland, the US, and China are loyal to EDEN while Russia, Turkey, Hungary, Serbia, Brazil and Indonesia are all loyal to Phoenix. But people do often do not know the smaller nations alliance. In order to rectify that to a degree I provide this article.

The below lists contain the nations that are currently officially part of the alliance and not under dangerous PTO. Other nations will be mentioned in more depth later

Other nations:
Bulgaria-
As most of you know, Bulgaria and Phoenix have recently had a parting of ways. While there previously have been multiple grievances it all boiled down to the addition of FYROM to eRepublik. Bulgaria IRL dislikes FYROM from what I have gathered and much of the citizens of FYROM are from Phoenix states such as Serbia and Russia. Naturally Serbia and much of the rest of Phoenix wanted FYROM to join Phoenix, however Bulgaria wants to wipe it off of the map. This led to Bulgaria vetoing FYROMs request to join Phoenix. The veto was disregarded and Bulgaria thus decided to leave Phoenix. The wiki still says Bulgaria is Phoenix.

Ukraine-
Ukraine has a long history. From what I understand it has been continuously P(A)TOed by Russia and Romania. For a long time it was in the Phoenix leaning alliance (Entente) of Italy, France, itself, and smaller states. Eventually this alliance fell; after that happened Ukraine’s most valuable region, Podolia was conquered by Hungary. This action pushed them firmly into the arms of EDEN which resulted in Romania swapping into Russia. They are currently listed as a Phoenix member on the wiki but certainly are not.

Bosnia and Herzegovina-
This is one nation I know very little about. The tension in the nation seems to stem from the fact that many Bosnians IRL want B&H to be part of Serbia. Right now it would be fair to say that they are in the camp of EDEN, however PTOs there are rampant.

Switzerland-
Another nation I know very little about. The little information I do have about them is that there is/was a power struggle between pro-EDEN and pro neutrality/Phoenix. It is hard to say which side if any is PTOing because both sides claim they are the rightful owners of the nation. Right now they seem to favor EDEN, having an MPP with Poland

The US-
Many of you know what is up with the US. They clearly favor EDEN. They just happen to not be a part of EDEN after they left EDEN under Piginzen’s term.

Russia-
Russia has a clear cut allegiance, however they still deserve a mention down here. They were recently wiped out by an EDEN attack led by China, America, Poland, and Romania. They recently had open citizenship and elections will decide who takes the nation. Their ‘natural’ citizens are loyal to Phoenix.

South Africa-
South Africa has had a turbulent history. They have been invaded, PTOed, resistance war’d, tricked, and they have done the tricking. Right now they are held by Phoenix, however all of their regions are in their own hands. I believe they are under PTO from Hungary.

Pakistan-
Pakistan is* a confusing nation. In Beta they were the strongest nation for a time, being the predecessor of PEACE GC (this is before my time, so it may be a bit off). For the longest time after Beta they were very weak, abandoned by the channers which made it great. Recently though there was an Exodus of Dioists to Pakistan during which they took over India. That died out due to it being made up from many older citizens who simply wanted some fun before they quit. It now is weaker than during Exodus and it leans Phoenix.
