Goals for April/May term in Australian Parlimentary Party...

Day 1,605, 13:41 Published in Australia Australia by Aussie Vegeta

As mentioned in my previous article I would outline what I hoped to achieve if elected Party President in the coming elections...

1. Further the work done with the senate elections, getting along side members of the party to assist them in campaiging correctly to get voters to understand what our party is out to do...
a. Through announcing a unified team as we have done in the past...
b. Also having the individuals take part and assisting them to write a presentation on what they stand for...

2. Party leadership team. Phoenix Green has done a great job putting a team together, I would like to simplify this team and see more activity through the party...
a. Encourage more discussion on our party forums, we have alot of members that say they check the forums daily, but that there aren't any new threads, I would have every member of our leadership team post something at least once a week so that there is activity ongoing...
b. Setup communication with other major party leaders. This would be so that we can ask for assistance with elections (mainly senate and PP) in the case of PTO's... Having this communication stream setup means that you aren't just coming out of the blue to ask for help, but you already feel comfortable with each other in times of need, so no ego's get bruised... This may be forum based (as in the past) or on IRC...

3. Continued party growth. We are the largest party in eAustralia currently, but that doesn't mean forever... I have seen great parties come and go (often to do with leadership splits or bad decisions, please see below in this regard), so I know that continued player growth but also retention is important... Party members can join just because biggest is best in their minds when they start out, but if not involved or connected, they will often migrate to another party where they feel included or needed... I want to work on both areas with my leadership team, Growth and Retention...

I hope that makes clear that I'm not looking to change or re-invent this fantastic party, just develop it and bring a fresh approach to the leadership...
I have no disputes with the current Leader and our great team, and if not elected I will not be leaving the party or trying to sabotage the party in any way...
I look forward to working with all of you in this coming term and see the APP move on to great levels and new ideas we havn't seen before...

Please feel free to contact me (Forum, Party Forum, IRC or PM) if you have any queries...

Cheers, AV...
