Germany has risen again

Dear Germans and friends of Germany,
After three long weeks of negotiations I can today proclaim that we have come to an agreement with Italy.

With the exception of Bavaria we will be able to free the other regions, Baden, Thuringia and Saxony-Anhalt within the next week. Italy has asked to keep Bavaria for another 1.5 months (until the 12th of August) and we have agreed to lend them that region until the said date.

Additionally, we have agreed to help them with the costs of the liberation wars. Those were the facts and now I want to tell you why it took so long to make this deal and why it is so important that we came to an agreement:

As most of you should know, German politics have been quite a rollercoaster in this game. We have been at war with the Swedish several times and have been stripped of our regions more than once. After the last liberation, in which Peace forces had a large part in, we decided to remain neutral, until the day came where we went ahead and joined the opposing alliance Atlantis. As it turns out this was all well orchestrated and planned by Sweden and all part of their revenge for the pain we caused them by liberating all German native regions.

Three weeks ago, we were liberated again with the help of Hungarian, French and Italian forces. This time however they didn’t do it just out of the kindness of their hearts and the previous ungratefulness and indecisiveness of Germany are also not yet forgotten.

Even though everyone knows that the past is not easily forgotten, we all know that only hanging on to the past keeps us from going on. France and Hungary have not asked for anything in return for their efforts. They have returned all of our regions and kept only one to help us secure our country. In this they have made a big and first step towards new and good relations with Germany! We acknowledge this and are very grateful.

Italy on the other hand was not quite so generous; it took a lot of negotiation to come to a deal that seems fair to both sides. This circumstance, that Italy is not being as generous as France and Hungary, is however a great chance for Germany to prove that we are grateful, can be relied upon and are trustworthy. This serves as an opportunity to redeem ourselves, to finally end the vicious cycle of pretence and betrayal and to lay a proper basis for future relations.

Bottom line is:
All German regions will be returned in the near future and with the resolution of this situation we have laid the foundation of future trust and good relations with not only Italy, but all of the nations that are involved and stood by our side!

Let us make things right this time and continue now with the rebuilding of our country, side by side with allies we respect and trust, free from the vicious circle that kept us down and that our enemies want us to never get out of.

In the spirit of change and a new clean start our congress has made an official request to acknowledge Austria as a separate country.

I agree with this and am hereby officially recognizing our Austrian Brothers right to their own country !

May we always maintain friendly relations and help each other the way we have in the past four weeks.

With the resolution of the future of Germany we will now also close the Open Wars with Hungary, France and Italy.
